I think a void of this helps Raptors too. Either IT is too hurt to play + Crowder is resentful to MGMT. IT out for first half of the season and noone is there to close out games for them (IT led 4th quarter scoring if I'm not mistaken, even for a bit of the season last year) though i think Hayward will be fine as well

Kyrie obviously too disgruntled to play well for the Cavs.

Hahaha that's exactly what would happen. The trade will be completed, but if it didn't, Celtic fans will be hilarious about it.

The fun part would be that, with IT heading into unrestricted free agency and already knowing what the Celtics feel about the idea of paying him - that they would give up Crowder and the Nets pick just to turn him into Kyrie - he basically has 0 incentive to put himself on the line if/when he does return. I mean, he has incentive to play well enough to show that he's recovered and worthy of a contract, but no incentive to put his health on the line like he did last season to push to win games singlehandedly for the Celtics or crash into the paint in the playoffs. He knows the team really doesn't want to commit big money to him, so why risk getting big money from another team? The Celtics better hope that the untouchable Terry Rozier is better than the previously untouchable Marcus Banks.

Finally. Well... still pretty happy to see Boston get slightly worse next year from this trade. Whether it was because IT wasn't going to play of because they gave IT and Crowder up to get Kyrie. It buys them one year of not paying tax before they max Kyrie, but that's just dollars. They will be capped out until 19-20 earliest which is good timing. But they finally have balanced their roster it seems.
