Who are your favorite players on your team now and all time?

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Sat Sep 2, 2017 12:45 am

Who is your #1 favorite player right now? And then your next few. And then list your all time ones.

Right now I'd have to say Rivers is first, but Gates is right there too..hard not to choose him. Then probably Keenan Allen. After that it's a little tougher. I really like Hunter Henry. Gordon and Bosa look like great players, particularly Bosa...Gordon more looks like he is good, but might break out, and started to last year. Bosa broke out big time right away.

I also really like Jason Verrett and Casey Hayward.

All time it's tough too. Rivers and Gates are still up there. But Tomlinson is right up there as well. Those three along with Dan Fouts might be the best. Brees was fun for a year or two but not long enough to really be considered a Charger in the grand scheme. Going way back I enjoyed Kellen Winslow, Wes Chandler, Charlie Joiner but really only saw them when I was a kid and just becoming a fan, but boy was that offense fun to watch...I mostly missed John Jefferson who only played for them briefly but was exciting from what I heard. I don't remember Chuck Muncie playing much other than that he wore sunglasses that looked awesome (well as a little kid they did).

Natrone Means was fun to watch as well.

Kam Chancellor is also a blast to watch. Some of his hits are so violent & at times jaw dropping.

Xavier Rhodes and Harrison Smith for sure.. Dalvin Cook will probably be right there this year too i would imagine.

All-time has to be Randy Moss as well (AP close behind) - Him 'mooning' the Packers fans and having Joe Buck hating on him is one of the most awesome plays ever for me! :)

Surprised to see no Seau on your list.

Oh yeah, I loved Seau. I loved Rodney Harrison too. I guess when you think of Chargers the first thing that comes to mind isn't defense. Maybe Bosa will begin to change that.

Probably Julio now and all-time. He's as good as anyone to ever play the game and he does it without any of the stereotypical "diva" drama. Abraham was probably my favorite defensive player when he was healthy-ish.

Terrell Owens is probably my all-time favorite, runner up is probably Ray Lewis. As far as current day players go, there are a bunch...Julio Jones and Tyreke Hill just to name a couple off the top of my head.

If we are talking favorite player all time in the entire league, I'd probably put Mike Vick at #1.

I was 9 years old when he got drafted in 2001, and watching him do his thing is what really got me into the NFL.

Donovan McNabb also used to scramble a lot in his early days but he stopped running as much as he got older and tried to be more of a pocket passer
