Animal rights activist Les needs to include as a condition to the sale that Fertitta release the three white tigers that he keeps prisoner at the downtown aquarium. If they can't be sent to a sanctuary at least let them live at the Houston Zoo where they'll get fresh air and natural sunlight and more room to run around.

I'm happy that the owner's commitment to Houston is unquestioned, but there is a lot about the guy which I'm not entirely comfortable. He has huge shoes to fill.

And I didn't even know about the white tigers.

no surprise on the price, it was predicted to be > $2 billion
i'm glad it is one owner and he is from Houston area
but he is a businessman
i hope he cares more about winning than making money
is he going to advertise his restaurant on team jersey?

Go to cnbc site and he does a show called " Billion Dollar Buyer " --- It's a show i watch and really like cause of him he has some personality not as much as Cuban but Cuban Lite. I will say being a Blazer fan i do not like your Rockets BUT this is a great thing cause i doubt he will nickle and dime the team. I think IF he let's Basketball minds do there thing and just keeps an open / semi open wallet the Rockets are 3 to 5 years and under from a Ring. Also it pains me being a Blazer fan from saying what i just said but got to take my Blazer fan hat off and see it from a NBA fan side of things.

Might be the ONLY time i say anything good about the Rockets but Good job and i guess Good luck to them -- LOL
