Joe Smith demoted

Post#1 » by Jose7 » Thu Jul 26, 2007 9:01 pm

He was struggling lately and he never stepped it up. I believe it was the wear and tear on his arm having never pitched this long in a season.

Jon Adkins was called up.

i like joe smith and all. but i'm happy about this. hopefully he gets back into it. the league caught up to him. but he's still young, and can defintely refine his skills.

Agreed. The kid needs to regroup and get his stuff together. He's good enough to do it. If the brass feels he might get beat up if he continues to get battered in the majors and a minor league stint would be good for his confidence/velocity, I'm all for it.
