Falcons Leadup: Bakhtiari/Bulaga/Daniels Questionable, pg 6.

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Mon Sep 11, 2017 2:20 pm

Sunday Night Football. A chance for revenge after the NFCC.

This also features the opening of the Mercedes-Benz stadium, featuring a retractable roof that looks like Megatron's anus. I don't even get the point of these stadiums that have tiny "retractable" roofs. It's like having a sunroof in your car and claiming that it makes your car a convertible. It doesn't really serve its stated purpose.

Anyway, they didn't look that great against the Bears. We should have a good shot at taking them out.

We definitely have a shot. Good test for the defense. Julio/Devanta will be a challenge. Hope to God Bulaga is back and 100% or at least 90%. And hope we are looking at OL this week.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Hicks destroyed Schweitzer so expect the same with Daniels.

I always worry that a guy will step off the gas once he gets paid. Sure didn't happen with Daniels. Nor with Perry (one game sample).

This'll be a true test on how much the secondary has improved. Not completely sold on what they did against an underwhelming Seahawks offense. Bears defense did a surprisingly good job of keeping ATL's offense in check save for that one 80+ yard bomb. It's gonna be an intense environment in the first game in their new stadium though. I think the offense is gonna need to put up 30+ for me to comfortably predict a win. Can't stall on drives and put up an egg in the 1st half like we did against Seattle.

This will be a better test for the D. They will get beat a few times but assuming complete health this D will be solid at the very least.

The true test will come when injuries start to pile up

Curious on who gets cut to make room for Allison

He was concussed in the last preseason game too so I'm wondering if they stash him on the IR.

Austin Hooper had a few nice plays and has been evolving since game 1 of last season. Our linebackers and safeties have to be ready.
Julio is going to get his 100+ and a TD no matter what, just have to limit him to that and hold everyone else in check for the most part.

Either way, The Falcons are going to be pumped for this game and I won't be too down if we lose as long as we come out healthy and at least put up a fight.

Perry's issues have never been about motivation or effort, so I didn't ever have any worries there once he got paid. His health and durability on the other hand...

I think the packers score 30 easily. Seattle's D-Line is ridiculous. Kept rodgers moving all game. The packers adjusted well in the second half and scored 17. Bulaga coming back would be big. Rodgers should have more time and be able pick apart the defense. Nervous about the packers defense, hopefully they can get pressure and matty lite. Expecting a shootout. If clay/perry bring it like Sunday they should be able to get pressure on an immobile Ryan.

I thought Burnett did a solid job with Graham yesterday. He dropped the one pass that should have been caught, but he was pretty quiet the rest of the game. As long as Hooper doesn't get into open space with the ball in his hands, I'm not too worried.

I wish the Falcons didn't struggle vs the bears. Now they are going to change things up and be even more ready for us. This is going to be a shoot out. But our defense does look better than last year and we barely lost to them during the season. I would say Pack 41- Falcons- 38 .

MM needs to use Monty in the screen game to prevent that great pass rush the falcons have.

Our def needs to make sure players like Sanu and Hooper don't have monster games. Freeman and Julio will get there yards and stats but we can't let the third or fourth best players beat us.

Our O-line will be fine as soon as Buluga is back. But this will be a true test of pass protection for them.

If we stop the run we will win this game...........

It was good to hear some Seattle players talking about how we did things on offense they hadn't seen before. Such as Ty's touchdown run (to the left with 2 pulling OL). You have to have some new wrinkles from time to time.

While our OL certainly struggled in protection it was a bit disconcerting to have our receivers not getting open. Sometimes AR didn't have time to find them but often he did and they just weren't open. We had that problem last year from time to time. Give them a mulligan due to the talent Seattle has back there.

If Allison is healthy I would cut one of the running backs, probably Aaron Jones. I think they could get him to the PS without any trouble if they desired.

Yeah, Hooper had two huge plays where he was left wide open and made some great plays in the open field once he had the ball.

It was a completed busted coverage an no one was within 20 yards of him. That said, he did squash that one DB with a nice stiff arm

Such a different matchup for the defense from last week. Julio will kill them but **** he kills everyone. Key will be keeping the rbs in check. Atlanta will score no matter how the d plays so Rodgers and co will need to keep up.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I'll consider this game a win if Davis doesn't fair catch a punt at the 5 yard line.

You might be better on Juilo than Gunter.
