Having a nervous big game kicker worries me after watching Nate Kaeding cost the Chargers 3 big playoff games.

I wouldn't worry too much there, that one is on the lineman.

I had audio off most of the time, but when I had it on I kind of liked Rex Ryan, because I like hearing coaches talk about things more than non football people typically but he was trying a bit too hard.

I didn't hear too much of Beth that was memorable other than pointing out obvious stuff, and some unnecessary stuff, like, after the final fga was missed, "there is still one second on the clock". There is zero reason anyone should be an NFL announcer in any shape or form if they think that statement is worth saying. But being a first time announcer, probably being nervous, I'll give her a pass for that.
Yeah think you're right, Rex was goo, Mowins was just meh. I think I'm predisposed because I associate her with college football which I like more.

Beth is fine. Have heard her a decent amount as she does a lot of college games. Rex was awful. He barely added anything the whole night and he doesn't have a good voice for announcing.

Listening to Rex Ryan... hearing Ron White.

I like Beth. She does solid work.

I liked Beth a lot too. You could tell that she was VERY well prepared, and I didn't hear a single mistake. Rex was okay, I think he'll get better with time. He just needs to relax and watch what Romo does. Romo knows he's the expert and doesn't worry too much about dressing everything up, he just goes out there and talks.

I've recently started doing play-by-play for a variety of collegiate women's athletics, and I can tell you it's much more difficult than it seems. Announcers take a lot of grief, but the good ones like Beth deserve a lot of props.

I did PA for my grandson's 5-6 grade class football team. Hell - THAT was tough. I can't even imagine sitting behind the microphone of a broadcast! I've enjoyed Beth doing college football for years. She will do fine with the NFL.
