great effort by both fighters, and I love Canelo, but GGG got robbed. who the hell saw the same fight and scored 118-110 Canelo? Oscar paid handsomely to Adelaide Byrd for sure. I had 117-111 GGG

I had Canelo 115-113.

GGG let the first 3 rounds go and he let the last 3 rounds go.

In my book he needed each round 4-9 and I think I gave Canelo the 5th or 6th. Sure GGG did dominate most of those rounds but the middle rounds do not a fight make.

He was the aggressor but landed less power shots, did no body work and as the heavier puncher left with a swollen face while Canelo left clean (remember all GGG did was head punch).

118-110 for Canelo is a bit ridiculous but no way GGG won 9 rounds in that fight.

Reminds me of Floyd-Castillo Part I

Which I think Floyd won btw.

sounds like Oscar is dodging the question of a rematch. that's a shame. I want GGG-Canelo II more than Floyd vs Pac II.

only fight I am more fanboy of, would be George Foreman vs Steven Seagal in a boxing ring and Steven leaving the ring on a gurney.

Some of you guys will remember me as a moderator from the former Fanhome/Scout/now 247 board. As the Clippers enter an offseason of extreme transition, I'm making one too.

ranma, esqtvd, and others ... great to see you!

Welcome!
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

This is quite the wonderful surprise amid some distressing news with the latest direction of the Clippers' organization. I've also long been hoping for stats to make his way over here so this is indeed a time for celebration as he will undoubtedly add to our discussions in a positive manner towards benefiting our little community here. I'm looking forward to reading posts by statsman and TrueLAfan on a regular basis.

I've said this already in Dodger forum, because it is essentially me quake and Ranma, but my mother passed away just a few days ago. she has struggled for a long time with cancer, and she died in peace. not asking pity, but since I already mentioned elsewhere in this forum as well now, I wanted to make it official and for you guys to hear from me directly.

I'm really sorry to hear that Neddy. I hope your dad is holding up okay. You and your family have been and will be in my thoughts and prayers.

thanks, guys. it means a lot.
it's been a rough year for me, with my brain surgery earlier this year, and now my mother passing. just means I am getting old, you know? but for your question, MK, I got to hear my father sob on the phone for the first time in my entire life, when he was telling me how the family came about to choose their options for her. obviously I don't live in LA or anywhere near it, so I was not invited to the family decisions, only informed afterwards. but her pain was too devastating to just be there and watch it.

anywho, this is Sunday morning. got things to now plan for the trip down there, people to call and meet. not sure when the funeral will be held, but I assume I will have to close the shop and drive down to LA by the middle of next week.
ehhhhh f it.

:( It's really hard to hear or see your parents be so vulnerable. All you can do is be there for them or anyone that is hurting. It doesn't take the pain away, but it helps to know that you're not alone in what you're going through. Keep your head up Neddy.
