Seems like way too much for a back up center. Guess they had to keep him though, otherwise they would have gave up Nurkic and Memphis' 2018 1st rounder for basically nothing.

Archie kicked ass in summer league his rookie year and he can and still can get to the rim and explode.
But he still can't shoot and obviously he has some other issues (attitude) as the Pelicans, Hornets, and Nets have both given up on him. Hell, the Nets even gave him a multiyear contract and then waived him.

This late in the FA season it seems like a very advantageous contract for Plumlee. Makes me wonder if they feel that Jokic can play the 4 next to him given how well he plays out of the high post.

Could be, although it didn't work out well last year when they tried it with Jokic and Nurkic

I'm sure you can sign Len today if you want to give him $13M a year.

Right now you'd have to say he's more likely to take the QO than get anything over $10M.

That would be an overpay IMO.
Mason Plumlee is a solid player, you know what you get from him on the court day in, day out...but Len is not consistent at all.
And Plumlee is a very good passer and that is a big plus for a C.

It's pretty clear that Alex isn't worth what Mason is, at this point. Alex has yet to have a positive impact on the court, and it's unclear if he ever will. Plumlee may be limited, but he's clearly at least marginally useful.
I fully expect Alex at the QO.
... If Andrew Wiggins is worth $30M per and Gary Harris is worth $20M per, what's TJ worth, ya think?

I wouldn't be surprised if Plumlee and Bogut were dominoes that needed to fall before something happened with Alex. There's still lots of potential there. I just don't think his future's in Phoenix. And I certainly don't think anyone's backing up the brinks truck for him.

Thats his MAJOR downside and its a huge one for a SF. Its what hurts his value the most. If he could get it up to around 35%, he would be golden, but shooting just above 25% from 3 is pretty horrible.
