McAdoo's last all-star season was before he was traded to the Celtics. Maxwell was never an All-Star.

Ainge is the guy who was traded almost exactly one year after playing in the All-Star Game.

The most recent example (for either question) I can think of before the ones involving Ainge was in 1956.

But...did the question say the All-Star appearance had to be as a Celtic? All-star 1977-78 for New York; played 1978-79 for Boston; traded to Detroit in 1979 1 year removed from the All-Star appearance! I think he is technically the right answer
