Thanks Dub. It seems like 1z enjoy making things up in his head, just to pat himself in the back later on down the road. That's why I didn't even bother responding to this fictitious claim that members were campaigning for Allen to go #1 overall. If anything it was more so "hey this prospect Allen is returning to school and the kid has the tools you look for in a franchise QB if he continues to develop, so pay attention and group him as a person who may climb the boards like Wentz and Trubisky...". Everyone and their mother went on record saying how inconsistent Allen was, how he struggles with accuracy at times and trust his arm too much, etc. As a matter of fact, Clyde didn't even give Allen a 1st round grade (Rudolph didn't get high praises either) because of all the question marks I stated above and other issues/flaws in Allen's game. But he too loved his physical intangibles. If anything those posts were more so for, "hey fellas keep an eye out for this QB...".

When we initially mentioned Darnold and Rosen on this messenge board, those guys weren't even being mentioned on "popular draft sites". What are you talking about!? If you're going to penalize us for finding out about Allen through draft pundits, are you also going to give us credit for discovering Rosen and Darnold before "popular draft sites" were even discussing them!?

I know I definitely didn't say that people were claiming Josh Allen was their #1QB. What I was bringing to your attention was that somehow AFTER Darnold, Josh Allen's name kept appearing. There was no reason for it. I know people aren't randomly watching Wyoming games during the Spring, but somehow now there were posts with Josh Allen in their top two or three. Sure enough, pundits are saying how he's a riser and has potential and skill set. Now for a second time, I KNOW 99% (excluding Pozz and that's it) of the board is not watching Wyoming games, so the only logical conclusion is you're taking these pundits analysis for gospel.

As for Rosen and Darnold, the two play in Cali, so I'm glad people on a San Francisco 49er forum board were able to recognize their talent coming to fruition in realtime.

There are years though, were guys like Geno Smith, Jake Locker, Christian Hackenberg are at the top of rankings just cause. I'm not sure about you guys, but I rather not get rehash view points on a forum board, I rather keep it interesting and see if anyone else is "woke" on the against the grain sleeper.

I watched Allen last year and said I didn't get the hype then. I guess I'm the 1%.

Nick Fitzgerald - QB - Bulldogs

Nick Fitzgerald was named one of NFL Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline "risers" after his strong performance against LSU on Saturday.

"While the passing totals were nothing out of the ordinary Fitzgerald’s decision making, ball security and pass selection were flawless," said Pauline. "His ability to run with the ball is proof of the athleticism possessed by the big armed signal caller and Fitzgerald is watching his draft stock take off." Fitzgerald gets another chance to build that stock when the Bulldogs take on Georgia on Saturday.

Byron Cowart - DL - Tigers

Auburn junior DL Byron Cowart, a former 5-star recruit, will leave the program.

Cowart declared his allegiance to Florida during his recruitment, but after Will Muschamp's firing Cowart switched to Auburn, Muschamp's new defensive coordinator. As we all know, Muschamp only stayed for one season, likely leaving Cowart in a place he didn't want to be. Add on that Cowart never got going on the field (and ran into trouble off of it), and the decision makes sense.

Mason Rudolph - QB - Cowboys

The MMQB's Albert Breer spoke with one NFL scout who called Oklahoma State senior QB Mason Rudolph "a Day 3 guy."

"Not as good as the media wants everyone to believe," the scout added, commenting on Rudolph's lack of accuracy, adequate arm strength and even drew a comparison to Bryce Petty. The scout was not alone, as Breer also spoke with a scouting director who called Rudolph "O.K." and another personnel exec who called attention to "lacking" arm strength and inconsistent accuracy. We continue to be amazed that the NFL focuses so much on arm rather than feet and eyes, since handling pressure in the pocket is pivotal to quarterback success.

Quenton Nelson - G - Fighting Irish

In Albert Breer's initial list of the top 10 prospects for the 2018 NFL Draft, Notre Dame redshirt junior G Quenton Nelson was mentioned as the top OL.

Nelson is the only offensive lineman to make the top 10, although Texas' Connor Williams would have been listed if he was healthy (torn meniscus). Nelson had a chance to jump to the NFL but elected to stay. We've seen guards be selected in the top 10 in recent history, and Nelson apparently could be the next.

J.K. Dobbins - RB - Buckeyes

Ohio State senior QB J.T. Barrett praised freshman RB J.K. Dobbins' intelligence to pick up concepts.

On top of that intelligence, Barrett brought up Dobbins' "ability to get in and out of his cuts." Both traits have been on full display so far this season, as he's posted 435 yards and three touchdowns on the ground on just 55 carries in three games.

Josh Allen - QB - Cowboys

ESPN's Chris Mortensen spoke to one NFL GM who believes if Wyoming QB Josh Allen played for USC, Clemson or Oklahoma, "they'd all be talking like there hasn't been a better passer in years."

Stunning. The anonymous general manager says his only concern about Allen is possible injury due to being too competitive with a lack of talent around him this season. "Enough teams will work past the garbage you'll hear," the general manager said via Mortensen. The decision maker went on to say there is "no comparison" with his size, arm, skill set, mobility, good mind and competitiveness. It is absolutely amazing that this general manager does not even touch on Allen's ability, or inability, to handle a pass rush, since it is the great differentiator at the position.

Saquon Barkley - RB - Nittany Lions

Yahoo Sports' Pete Thamel spoke to one scout who believes Penn State junior RB Saquon Barkley is better than Ezekiel Elliott.

The scout obviously remains anonymous. "Saquon Barkley is a different guy with an extra gear. He’ll never get caught from behind. Zeke doesn’t get caught often, but he can," the scout told Thamel. We understand wanting to compare Barkley to the top running back prospect in recent memory, but in the end Barkley will also be selected very early in the draft, likely in the top 10, so does it even matter? Barkley is an outstanding talent. So is Elliott. Our biggest question is if Barkley can pass protect like Elliott could out of Ohio State.

Minkah Fitzpatrick - DB - Crimson Tide

Pro Football Focus' Steve Palazzolo compared Alabama junior DB Minkah Fitzpatrick to former FSU S Jalen Ramsey.

"Fitzpatrick brings similar versatility to the table," Palazzolo writes, "and their diverse skill sets are perfect for what NFL defenses are trying to do to combat the higher percentage of spread looks seen on a weekly basis." On the versatility front, Fitzpatrick (6'1/201) has experience playing over the slot, very similar to Ramsey prior to his shift to cornerback in 2015 (Fitzpatrick has played corner, too). In his freshly released mock draft on Wednesday, Walter Football's Charlie Campbell projected Fitz to the Chargers at No. 12 in the first round. A top-10 selection is most definitely in play, here.

Josh Rosen - QB - Bruins

Pro Football Focus' Steve Palazzolo compares UCLA junior QB Josh Rosen to former FSU QB Jameis Winston.

"From the early high expectations to a risk/reward playing style to the pure numbers that put both players in similar light," Palazzolo writes, "Rosen and Winston have a lot in common." In terms of the raw numbers, the analyst ticks off several marks that are remarkably similar from Winston's final collegiate season in 2014 and Rosen's work during the current campaign, including adjusted completion percentage (72.6% for Winston, 71.6% for Rosen), passer rating under pressure (69.5 for Rosen, 66.6 for Winston) and adjusted completion percentage on passes of 20-plus yards (39.4% for Rosen, 39.3% for Winston). Winston spun all this fine work into the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, something that Rosen is very much in play for come the spring.

Darnold just forced a terrible pass into coverage, and it was picked off. He should have thrown another INT earlier in the game, the DB simply ran out of real estate by the skin of his teeth. He's like another Jameis Winston as a passer - he at times feels like he has to win the heisman for every throw that he has to make.

Devin Bush, Michigans LB, is one of the most instinctive players I've seen in awhile. If he makes it to the next level, I get the feeling he'll have to play safety. Can't recall any LB to S success stories, does anyone have any instances?
