He's been posting photos and videos of himself working out and post workout on instagram again for a while now.

It was only for a few weeks this summer that he wasn't.

This is all an intricate web of deceit. They know that if they say he will have minutes restrictions that are just as bad or worse, there will be a furor right before training camp. They've gotten away with stringing us along for the last 4 years. Why stop now. Brown is in on this too. I hate that Colangelo has made him his lackey about this ****. As much as BC has done a good job with drafting, trades, and making us continue down the path of respectability, the snakey behavior we all feared is definitely here.

We all worried about it, and it's about Embiid and his health. The lies about the initial tear, the deception on WIP about why there was speculation, Bodner's revelation, the surgery taking longer than we wanted, all the hype that Embiid was ramping up.

Of course, now when it gets down to brass tacks, and we're right at the front door of training camp what happens? Radio silence, and then, "oh... ummm.. hmmm.. yeah he'll participate, but not sure how much". "Yeah, he'll play in the first game, but not sure how much." "Not as much minute restrictions, but we're not saying there won't be any." Are you fricking kidding me... :banghead: :banghead:

Looking at Embiid's instragram account, the last time he posted something about him playing basketball, or on the courst was July 29th. (so little less than 2 months).

He posted a photo on the instagram stories yesterday, post workout. Been more, but I just view them casually then close out because it's not something I've been freaking out about.

EDIT: I meant in stories or whatever it's called, not live.

Then you got me man.... Why isn't he ready then? Okafor wasn't cleared for a year dude! Embiid, they said 6 months? Why doesn't think organization give periodic updates like every other one in the NBA? Why do we always have to pull teeth to get any iota of info from them about this man. Until I see Embiid on the court, without minutes restrictions we're always going to be skeptical.

Oh and if this is the case, we're going to be the dumbest organization on the planet to give him an extension. Unless, they're messing with us, and his agent is holding him back, which would be really lame of Embiid and his agent. Embiid has a right to get his money, but after 4 yeras, he deoesn't want to play until he gets a contract? No way he deserves an extension if he's still on minutes restrictions, or not allowed to play back to backs...

And the talk about his extension.

Very bizarre. Just gotta disregard what they say and go with whether they ke him practice/play. Only thing we know rn is that he's not cleared for 5 on5.

Direct quote from BC:

"Joel Embiid will play in the first practice and the first game. The question is how much, how little, if at all."

That's like me saying. I'm definitely going to have sex with my wife tonight. The question is how much, how little, if we have sex at all.

Couldn't finish the sentence without contradicting himself. These people can't even get their stories straight by the sentence anymore.

This is the same team that let him play a game with a meniscus tear! It's not about him not posting, even though that's what I said. It's the utter contempt this organization has for the intelligence of it's fans. A frigging monkey could figure this **** out.

Yeah, they're handling it poorly regardless of what's happening.

Exactly, it's contradiction after contradiction...

Here is what Brown said...

Oh and the guy with a doctorate in deception speaks...

STFU dude you lied through your teeth on WIP early this year, when you said Emiid did not have a serious injury, until Bodner leaked the news. This was the same, "why don't you believe what I say" tone, that you used back then.

Mmmhmm... Sure Bryan

Sure, that was what I meant by the part you snipped. They can say all the flowery stuff about less minutes restrictions and extensions, but if he's not playing he's not playing.

I'd think hard and cold about pulling a Danny Ainge : trade the crowd favorite with very questionable health while the timing is still right.

Obviously they know more about his health than us, and maybe they're keeping it extra secret not to hurt his value if an opportunity arises.

I know it's insane to trade a potential top 10 player. But the current situation is insane as well...

Hmmm that's a little less concerning... On the other hand, Colangelo might have just gotten another badge in the art of deception...

so...you are the GM of Team X and you know that the Sixers are open to trade a potential top 10 player with huge health concerns and that he is in need of a new (maybe huge) contract in the next 12 months.

What do you think to fetch? Another Justin Anderson plus another fake first round pick?

You have to ride or die with Joel.
As simple as that.

LOL... so everyone still think everything is ok and not to overreact now?

It was blatantly obvious when he disappeared from Social Media over 2 months ago that something was wrong and he had a setback. I don't believe Colangelo for 1 second that this is just a cautious approach.
