Best Defensive Players

Post#1 » by NuggetsWY » Thu Sep 21, 2017 1:06 pm

Malone and the front office have dared to use the word "defense" and been ridiculed for it (guilty). Let's assume they rapidly climb from the 29th defensive team to the 20th defensive team; who are the Nuggets' best defensive players going to be this year? Interestingly, I did not set out to pick one from each position, but that was the result.

Millsap - Harris - Chandler - Jokic - Murray ((( and in that order IMO

What do you think?

I think that the only guy that is a good defender is Millsap. Harris could become one. Jokic is not bad and could grow into a good one as well. Murray is competitive and has good work ethic so i can see him becoming a good defender. Beasley might be a good defender too. Chandler seems like he doesnt give a ****. Hernangomez is kinda a tweener, slow for the perimeter and not strong for the paint. Maybe in a few years he becomes good. I dont think Mudiay will ever be a good player.

Harris started with a good rep for defense - then Malone took control
Jokic - agree.
Chandler had a good rep for defense for a few years - then Malone took control.
Beasley; hmm, interesting and you just might be right there. Didn't see enough of him to know, but yeah, he showed some of the same stuff Murray showed.
Hernangomez - agree.
Muddiay - this is a make-or-break year on offense, defense, and everything in between IMO.

So, Malone preaches defense but if the players don't comply it's Malone's fault ???.....that an interesting theory

Preaching is different than teaching. Preaching means telling, teaching means someone is actually learning --- except in public schools.
