He's not a free agent. The Union can't force a team to play anyone, healthy or not.

Figure I might as well jump into the deep end of the rumors.

I know this was covered in one of the other "trade Melo" threads, but I forget the shape of proposed Knick/Portland trades, other than everyone assumed Harkless was coming to the Knicks.

Whatever deal happens, we cannot take on a bad contract. I'd rather bring back Melo if that's the case.
