Calinks, do you have any info on the Shaq trading cards included in the special editions? I wonder if they are some random panini cards or some worthless 2k edition trading cards. I really want that Lakers cover, but $150? They are out of their mind... Wish there were copies available with the Kyrie Celtics cover.

FIFA18 is a huge disappointment. No improvement since 16 and I am being nice. They might've even taken a step back to be honest. Awful gameplay, dribbling is too easy, almost every shot is a goal.

GT Sport, F1 2017, AC Origin, and the new CoD will be my next purchases.

They have certainly done a better job of making the Target Center in Live than they have in 2K.

In the 2K demo, when I got to try out for the wolves, they were playing in these practice uniforms. They really had a lot of the neon green, what do you guys think of the color when it gets more featured?

I feel like our lighter blue and the green have different variations out there. In this video the blue almost looks like UNC blue(that color is also used on shirts on the NBA store). While the green looks slightly different on the sides of our dark blue jerseys compared to our logo. Maybe it's just the color correction in the videos...

If you look at best buy they have some descriptions of what it comes with. Most of the stuff is in game items and bonuses. I read they are panini cards.

I never had a regular PS4, only got the pro but I have seen some comparisons. I got my Pro and a 4K tv around black Friday of last year. My honest assessment is that its not really needed, particularly if you already have a PS4. Not all games have pro enhancements, most of them probably don't even but the ones that do are typically big name titles.

4K does look damn good, especially if you have a bigger tv (50 inch plus range) but its not a end all be all. With the games that I have played I actually think having HDR makes a bigger impact. High Dynamic Range is added to several PS4 games but you need to make sure you have a 4K tv that has what they call a "wide color gamut" Basically make sure its an HDR 10 tv. There are other HDR 4K tv's out there but they are not HDR 10/High color gamut and it wont work with the PS4.

HDR really adds some crazy impressive lightening effects. It really does change the impact of the visuals, like I said, IMO more than the increased 4K resolution. As of now, most first party Sony games will have Pro enhancements and many big third part games do. The Pro is a marginal upgrade over the regular PS4 though. Something like the Xbox One X is a bigger step up in raw power and if someone was debating getting a regular Xbox or a 1X along with a 4K tv, I'd probably tell them to get the X. The pro is nice if you got the cash and want to go 4K but its not a MAJOR step from what you got. I'd recommend keeping them money unless of course, you really want to have that higher end expereince.

EDITL To clarify your last question. Yes every PS4 game runs of Pro. Not not every game looks better, only specific games developers added patches to or specific new games developers put pro features in.

Pro looks better even on a 13' mac screen in that video. The new generation of consoles are coming out sometime around 2020-2021, right? A generation lasts about 7-8 years if I am not mistaken.

Picked up my copy of 2k last night at 9, but I haven't even opened the box.

It's hard to say. Some people were even saying PS5 will drop in 2019 but I doubt it. Consoles have generally lasted about 5 years until the last generation (PS3, 360) where they went on for a very long time, about 8 years. I think with technology not growing as fast combined with how expensive it is to make games these days, we will be seeing smaller and smaller upgrades.

With the Pro dropping just last year and the Xbox One X coming this fall, I dont see any new consoles coming out until at least 2020 but probably closer to 22. Sony is absolutely having an incredible amount of success with the PS4 this generation, it is selling at a rate that only a couple of consoles in history have seen. They have no reason to jeopardize that with a new console anytime soon. Microsoft is doing well too but not nearly as good as Sony. Maybe if they really get massacred over the next couple of years, they will make an early push to get the next xbox out but I think that's a bit unlikely as well.

I wouldn't worry about the next generation of consoles for a while.

No problem. If you really want to get in on a Pro I would at least suggest waiting until November around Black Friday. I don't know if you get the same deals as we see here at that time in the US but there are usually big time discounts on games, consoles, and tv's between late October and early December. I got my TV and PS4 Pro which at normal costs, would have been around 1000 bucks for about 750 dollars when sale prices, discounts, promotions were taken of advantage of around Black Friday for me.

Started a season with in 2k. Second game (6 min quarters), KAT with 32 pts/ 24 rebs against OKC. Beastly. First game, lost to the Mavs, but we aren't gonna talk about that one.

So I started up GM mode. They added a lot more to the presentation this year. As soon as I get the gig, I have a presser. I am the GM of the Bulls, I told them I am in total rebuild mode. They asked about Hoiberg and I totally threw him under the bus saying we are moving on to his surprise. It was hilarious cause they show him in the background starting at you. Now he's chewing me out in my office.

Edit: never mind guess they updated Thibs. now he has C offense, B defense, A Potential.

So after the Fred thing, the assistant coach came to me and basically asked for the head coach job. I gave it to him. I had to do another presser and they asked me why Fred resigned haha! After revealing everything the owner had a sit down with me and basically told me he didn't like how I am making all these wave right out of the gate.

Now Zach has come to my office and he's worried I am going to trade his ass. This is great stuff, I am cracking up over here. Going to be ruthless with these people. Zach aint going nowhere though haha.

Unfortunately, and 2K is the only company I know does this still, they block all the audio from the game so it makes streaming really bad unless you got a capture card.

This has to be a set story because WAY too many crazy things are happening. This is a lot different than previous GM modes. Wonder how this plays out over the long haul.

So I am simming along and my scout keeps telling me how amazing the top three of this draft is. Transformational, generational talents and as I am getting scouting reports I see what he is talking about. These guys really do have Bron, Melo, wade potential or greater. Scout, GM basically tell me we got to trade or do what it takes to get one of those picks. I 100 percent agree so I go HARD.

Didn't want to but wound up trading Lauri for ATL's pick who at the time had the worst record. Soon though they started winning games and unfortunately, they were firmly in the 10-15 range. What made it worse was my Bulls were doing pretty good. We were like .500 and I didn't know why. What makes things worse is somehow the freaking Suns got the Heats pick and they are in position to get TWO of the top three players. That would completely make them one of the best teams for several years if they can keep those guys and Booker together.

So I got desperate, I made more trades, basically, wound up flipping the Hawks pick, plus a future Brooklyn first, and ANOTHER first to the Knicks who were in bottom 5 position. That trade hurt a lot, mortgaged my future . Then I went into shameless tank mode with about 20 games left in the season. I sat Zach, and mostly anyone who could contribute. I started freaking Jrue Holiday at center, Plumle at SF. Doing whatever the hell it takes to tank into oblivion, I already lost too much.

Right now my Bulls and the Suns are in a tank cold war. The stakes are so high. It's going to be hilarious when we both wind up dropping in the lottery anyway. My whole franchise livelihood is riding on getting one of these guys lol. This is way too much fun right now.

I've done it! Tanked to high hell and the Knicks were awful down the stretch too! 17 straight hard earned losses! Its all down to the lottery as to who gets lucky. Bulls or PHX could get two top 3 legendary rookies! I still got Lavine too!

It's great when your MyPlayer gets traded from the Pistons to the Spurs and almost instantly gets inserted into the starting lineup.

We were like .500 with the Pistons, but the Spurs are dominating teams! Being a PG on this team is so easy!

Just finished the regular season of my rookie year last night. Spurs took over the league, finishing with 61 wins and earning a 1st round date with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

My PG ended his rookie year as the Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Most Valuable Player. Not a bad way to start your career....
