If the Portland rumor did get leaked by the Knicks it just may be a move in the media hubris that may happen if Melo winds up in NY to start the season. He can't gripe publicly without looking like a whiner about not getting out of NY if there was another playoff contending team willing to deal for him but he blocked it with his NTC and only wanting to go to Houston.

Melo wouldn't take the call or say that if his agent is telling him they're trying to leverage Portland to get a deal to Houston done. Why would Melo torpedo a chance at the only destination he wants?

i suppose. Melo probably doesn't care about the young assets/picks HOU would have to give up as long as he gets him to HOU with CP3 and Harden.

The birds are chirping in Red. The Birds are chirping in NY. And, the wildcard has become the louder of the Van Gundy's. Well, him, and a Kidd who likes one of our pieces.

Bottom line from a good Ear: Lucky Number 7even will be delivered right around camp. Remember Rafer and Mike James? Traded out of nowhere with no time to meet our crew. That's a similar scenario. I cannot confirm all of this, so don't shoot the messenger. What I can confirm is that an Ear in NY has reiterated that Melo will attend training camp in NY, will say the right things but he will become a locker room/ media nightmare. That's his end game.

Ever watch "The Blacklist" There's some broken pieces that may come along with this. What are you willing to sacrifice for Hoodie Melo? Draft picks? An important role player?

Eric Gordon possibly involved...and we know SVG likes Anderson...

Espn ranking was a wake up call for melo. He knows if he stays here his nba career will go down in the shietters. Knicks finally playing chess out here and not checkers
