I'd rather see his face in the booth than the jersey in the rafters.

Still no word on that fresh voice though, ey?

Don't be shocked if it's Kara Lawson.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

That's why I heard about two months ago (posted it here) and if you read Buck's Twitter, he does re-tweet something she said a few weeks ago. But I also heard Caron was in the mix so maybe they are waiting until the start of training camp to announce it.

I'd be fine with Kara.

Yeah, I heard that from someone with the Wiz.

Didn't know how credible it was.

Personally, I want Christy Winters Scott but Kara would be a fine choice.

Didn't think it was possible, but Beal looks like he's even more cut up now than before.

Dude's putting in work.

The only consolation is Phil will be in studio pre and post game... and doing the 3 man booth games.. or rather the 2 dudes, 1 woman booth since it's very likely Kara Lawson is his replacement.

I loved this...and it made me more pissed/sad that he wont be in the booth bringing the heat for us. Phil IS the voice of the wiz :nonono:

I wonder if the players know he wont be commentating anymore. I mean none of them have actually WATCHED a game on tv because they are AT the game. Also when the players were not on the team they probably watched a national broadcast (if they watched the wiz). I really wonder if anyone has told Brad, JW or Otto how much Phil means to most of us. I know there are some guys on the board that dont like him...and I was shocked that there were guys at my barbershop that thought our broadcast crew sucked. But I am not one of them. Phil and Buck are the consistent when the team has had good and realllllly bad years. Phil and Buck were there for us in the bad years... If i get a chance to talk to the owners I am going to tell them this is a bad decision. :nonono:

Imo, no one would be an upgrade over Phil but IF we're going to replace him I'd be fine with Christy/Kara.

First off congrats to Phil on his retirement, Second get Glen Counsel out the radio booth or Dave Johnson and put him next to Steve Buckhantz. Don't care for this new candidate.

Glen and Dave? No thank you.

Kara? Nope. Too clinical. Really boring. Never played in the NBA which is fine for play by play, but not great for an analyst.

ADK? Now you're talking.

I'll stick with who I said before - I'd like to see Adrian Branch get the job. Local guy who did good - has been doing college games for ESPN - comes across as knowledgable with a great personality and passion for the game.
