maybe they would rather have Melo at his point now that they know LeBron is out. Melo might just opt out and if LeBron goes too they would open up a lot of space.

I like it, this may be the first time in like 20 years it feels like Knicks are driving the bus on a trade... Seems like a strategic leak to put pressure on all teams involved.
