Completely agree with this, it was a bad look by booker. I don't mind the on court little scuffle but the comment after was both dumb and dbagy.

Hate to lose Alan after he's been with the core group of guys all summer building all that chemistry while Len has not.

Wasn't it after Daniels called him garbage that only scores in garbage time?

Bummer about Williams. I hope to still see him cheering from the bench though and hopefully takes the time needed to get fully healed. I still think Len could work out for us and will definitely get a shot this year. Hopefully he takes advantage of it.

Definitely a bummer for Sauce. He was really productive last year and seemed like he was involved in literally everything the Suns were doing this Summer from practices to community outreach. I guess the bright side is that it should clear up some more minutes for Bender at the 5?

Troy Daniels and Anthony Bennett were pretty surprising pick ups. I recall McDonough wanted someone fairly young, and our team sorely needs 3-point shooting and a backup 2 guard, so Daniels fits that role fairly well. Plus we got him and a 2nd round pick essentially for free, and I'm sure either Daniels or Jok will be weeded out by the end of training camp. Bennett is a weird one with the rumored attitude/coachability/work ethic issues, but I don't see any harm in kicking the tires on a non-guaranteed contract. I'm not too hung up on either acquisition, they're likely just end of bench/camp bodies until they show otherwise.

I read meniscus injuries are anywhere from 2-6 months.

Does partially torn mean less severe?

Well it depends if they repair or remove the damage. Removing is a much shorter recovery but can lead to problems down the road. Repair is the option they will look at first and thats a longer recovery. So oddly the smaller the tear sometimes is a longer recovery.

So in 2018 we could have one or two firsts and two or three second round picks.

1st Suns and Miami's (top 7 protected)
2nd Ours (unless we finish in the top 5), Toronto's, Memphis via Charlotte or Miami

Can't imagine we would keep all five picks next year with all the youth we currently have. Then we have about $9M in cap space to absorb more contracts for picks. Could also apply for a Disabled Player Exception on Knight for another $7M in cap space. We could have a huge pile of picks for a nice trade.

I could see one or 2 of those 2nd rounders being part of a deal to offload a contract like Chandler or Dudley.

Who needs a center when you have two SF's?

Wow.

Big 3 of Westbrook, Melo, PG + Adams.

...And absolutely no bench at all.

OKC taking out a 100% mortgage on their house and betting it all on green. Risky but interesting and fun to watch unfold.

That's the thing, not sure NBA second rounders have much value. Its not like in the NFL where you take a 1/3 and move up in the first round. But better to have them then not. And you can always stash a guy too - or use them to move up and get one guy in the second round you REALLY like

As for the Melo trade - seems like the Knicks could have got more but with limited teams to trade too - its what it is - just a cash dump

I like it for OKC. If they bring Melo off the bench. He could be that guy that just gets points in a playoff game when you need a guy getting you 12 in a quarter or something

Why? Don't they provide a service as a good veteran? I suppose if they HAVE to create cap space, but...

Actually - part of the reason I thought OKC had a good offseason and would push the Rockets before the Anthony trade was two signings
Raymond Felton
Patrick Patterson

two good solid veteran role players

This team is pretty darn good

and its why Melo needs to accept being more of a bench player. he needs to be on the court when Russ and PG3 aren't

if they are going to win - he needs to accept that role in my opinion
