3 degrees of frustration Redux - Draft Thread

Post#1 » by Laimbeer » Fri Sep 22, 2017 11:57 pm

1. You can draft any player from the 1989-90 season to the 2016-17 season, choosing a NBA or ABA season.

2. You have to draft 8 players with a maximum amount of 90.0 total FGA. There is an 8 minute minimum.

3. Each of your picks must have played for the same franchise in at least one regular season or playoff game as the pick immediately preceding yours. Edit to clarify - players can be linked to other players through franchises they played with before 1990. But you must a use a season from 1990-2017.

4. The randomized draft order and assigned windows are below.

7. Picks must be made within your window. You cannot pick early or late. If your window starts at 11:00, your post must be time stamped at 11:00 to 11:14. A post stamped 9:59 or 10:15 would be invalid. If you miss your window, you cannot make up your pick until the end of the draft. Posts outside of your window will be completely disregarded, even for franchise matching purposes. For the purposes of this game, they do not exist.

8. In the case of a missed window, the following coach will match the franchise of the previous pick. For example, if the coach picking 7th misses his window, the coach picking 8th will simply match a franchise with the 6th pick.

9. Never change a posted pick, even if you become aware it is not a valid pick. You will make up for this pick at the end of the draft. The coach immediately following you must match a franchise with your pick, even though it isn't a legal pick for you. Players picked illegally are still eligible to be picked later.

10. The draft will begin when I give the first dantley his player to match with his first pick just before 11am eastern Saturday morning. Likewise I will give a random player to Super Powered to start the second day.

Please PM me with questions or post them in the discussion thread.

Ok, we're off.

I selected a player by randomizing 210 guys from my cheat sheet who have gone in past drafts and fit the post 1990 era.

Dantley must live right. His random player is Eddie House.

Please remember, no early picks, hit your window.

Really tough choice between options. I think I'm going to go for two-way play and versatility.

Kevin Garnett

Pick is disallowed. Taken after your window, friend.

Bde is up, matching Iggy.

I'll go with John Stockton. Elite two way PG, cheap FGAs. I like the fit with KG.

It doesn't appear this is a legal pick. In any case, dantley is up next, matching Stockton.

I prefer D12, but I'll pass on him. Give me Steve Nash.

Lots of options here but i'll go with the one who fits the best positionally, as well as the one who leaves Dantley without an MVP-level option
