Check out the ORLANDO FLORIDA court writing down there. That looks like retro font.

Issac is a project, and its really likely that you won't see much from him (Offensively at least) until the end of this season going into next. Even then I feel its a stretch that he'll be "ready" then for the team to get him some consistent reps on offense.

Yea I wouldn’t be surprised if this team looks a lot different after the all star break. Too crowded in the front court IMO.

He'll probably be like AG was his rookie year. Doing things mostly on defense.

The media was there actually, but this is not a sexy team right now. If they start winning games and being the athletic, up tempo, ball sharing team I can picture in my head, then they will get a lot more attention.

I honestly am just hoping to see a lineup of Elfrid/Evan or Ross/Simmons/Gordon and Isaac at some point. I hope to hear that Isaac plays some 5 even in practice this week.

I miss the Magic teams that pushed the envelope in terms of play style. When you have a unicorn 7 footer like Isaac and a bulldog like Gordon, do you really need a C?

Anyway, the good stuff starts today. Yesterday was just fluff.

No you probably don't, but with Vuc and biyombo still on the roster I don't think we're going to see much of it this year. I could see him getting some significant minutes there next year or possibly after the all star break if Vuc or biyombo gets traded. Which would allow Isaac to put on some size during the offseason to really be able to handle big minutes there.

as long as you make it possible to properly evaluate each player.... it's not a bad situation.... and that's where trades come into play. :-)

I'm pumped to see that lineup too! I could see them learning some Spurs/Hawks/Warriors like passing eventually, but might take some time for them all to learn each other and get comfortable. To start the season, im hoping Vuc can bring that now to the 5 spot.

No one — not a single player, coach or executive — predicted they would make the playoffs in the season ahead. In fact, most of them avoided the topic unless a reporter directly asked about a potential postseason berth.

“This is not going to be an easy fight for us,” Magic coach Frank Vogel said. “There’s going to be a lot of development and improvement required for us to even think about being a playoff team, and that’s a challenge I’m embracing.”

This is such an un-inspiring group.

Well .... if your goal is to be the best player and team you can be.... that should be the number 1 goal. and as a result of those aspirations.... comes playoffs and championships. :-) Last year.... we called the target.... but our means of getting there was still more of a work in progress than anticipated. Now we're working on improving what we have and plotting the path that will eventually lead us to our desired destination.

plus.... vocalizing the goal and not making it .... get realgmers super pissed and want heads to roll. lol

Mario looking like he's is 110% ready for this camp. Excited.

Yes nice aggression he's got to get after it like that. And liked the deflection by Isaac that's where he's going to be able to help out right away on defense.

Mario looks like he's one of the fastest guys on this team! I also like how Vogel uses Hezonja guarding smaller guards and making them have to work for theirs on the offensive end with his length and athleticism!

As i've said before..... I would love to see him as our shooting guard of the future. Not cuz i don't like evan of course.... cuz i love what evan brings.... but i believe he can be everything evan is for us and more.

Elf/Mario/Gordon n Isaac/??

is what would like to see for the future as i think at their full potential they can fit very well together at both ends of the court.

I don't mind the modesty. The overconfidence last year looked pretty obnoxious when it became clear we were trash. At least this way it looks like we might understand that we still have a long way to go. Obviously it's more exciting when we can all get pumped up thinking we're going to turn a corner, but at this point, I just can't do it anymore. They've broken me down, man.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I don't see any silver lining drafting 10-16. But, if we show great improvement, but still miss out then I reckon it can still be a win to me.

I would love to see Vogel utilize Hezonja into a primary ball handler, just like the Houston Rockets uses Harden!

They both are 6'8" with the ability to play pick and roll w/ court vision, plus are both elite shooters! Only Hezonja could have a bigger defensive upside than Harden if developed properly!

Vogel going straight to Simmons over Ross? Kind of doubt that at this point.
I'd prefer Isaac ahead of Hezonja... but he's probably going to forced to take a back seat for a while.
Hopefully Mack plays well enough to steal DJ's spot.

I'm in wait and see mode with Simmons because, much like Biz, he had a good playoff series. This board sometimes gets enamored with defensive players and we tend to want to pile them all on the floor together with this vision that we're going to hold teams to 70 ppg. Well, that's what people said last season. The more balanced roster is Payton, Fournier, Ross, AG, and Nik and that's the line up that played really well together the second half of last season.
