Not a good sign from Faried.

Also Powder you know none of the local writers are going to ask a question like that, they are all too busy kissing the Kroenke's asses to ask the tough questions. It really is to bad as Stiffs and a couple of other websites got their start criticizing Karl and the Nuggets.

I think the only reasonable explanation is that Connelly falls in love with the players he acquired, why else resign Plumlee to that contract and try to extend Barton when it is obvious he is such a bad fit?

We have Harris & Murray, maybe Beasley and/or Mudiay, maybe he wants a team that is all PFs & guards to play with Jokic?
There is just no sense to the way they are building this roster.

Half of Bartons value comes from his cheap contract. If we extend him to something similar to Plumlee we wont be able to move him for anything meaningful. That means we will have a team full of role players and no cap room to go after star players...

So has Faried looked around the rest of the NBA? I seriously can't find a spot for him to join that will give him significant minutes and would be willing to move anything for his contract. This seems like a very dumb attempt by him to get traded when there aren't many great situations for a player like him that can only play a position that is currently almost eliminated from the NBA. It also doesn't seem to be very becoming of a guy who seems to pride himself on his hustle and hard work to want something handed to him when he really hasn't proven to be worth what he thinks he is. His game has just never really improved. Hopefully the front office can talk some sense into him or find someone who will take him for a decent return. Its pretty frustrating to see this attitude out of him.

I think the Nuggets should return the favor to Faried and publicly allow his agent to seek a trade, maybe then he'll get an idea of his position/value around the NBA

I've read some article that tries to defend all these extensions and to sum it up if we extend both Jokic and Harris along with Barton we would need to move Faried and luck into Chandler declining his PO to be at 120 milion!!!! Without a freaking small forward!!!! And they try to defend this. Forget signing a max free agent, we wont be able to sign a scrub to play the SF. Sometimes i wonder how the hell do these people get such high paying jobs...

Don't worry about it, they're going to trade Chandler, Barton, Nelson, Mudiay, Beasley for five more PFs. Their logic being the Nuggets will be able to switch better on defense because everyone will be about the same size - except for Harris & Murray. They'll keep them because every NBA team needs one or two "short guys".

While I think it's a bit of a stretch, I do like the reasoning againsst our competitions (especially OKC and POR), good overall read

Believe I read the same thing you did, it's a BSN article I think. More like a puff piece actually. Another example of the soft media coverage in Denver.

Here's a shocker...DA is limited going into training camp, glad he's on the books the next 2 seasons.

Talk about a homer article, holy crap if someone posted that article as a post on the GB or even Reddit nba page they would be destroyed.

Why are we not waiting to sing Gary Harris until next offseason when he is restricted? Do we have no interest in potentially added another solid play in the offseason before getting Harris and Jokic rapped up long term? Seems dumb even if we are trying to save money and not go after a max player next year, at least keep the option open.

Absolutely a homer's view but how far fetched do you think the reasoning on their competitions demise is ? I can see most of those premises being very plausible, guess that makes me a homer too then !

Malone says the starting PG slot is open - Nelson is out with a sore toe.
Malone says he wants 9 players and there are enough PFs to fill two Escalades; Faried wasn't feeling well and Arthur is injured.
Looks like some of the veterans might be taking the competition less than seriously.
Of course they could be legitimate injuries, but ...
