I wonder if this would have been the deal that would send Kyrie to Phoenix and George to Cleveland or if it would have been a deal that sent Love to Denver.

"Actually, it was funny because me and PG was supposed to be in Cleveland on draft night," Anthony said. "We were communicating about that. The deal was actually done, and it got called off on draft night, so me and PG stayed connected throughout the course of the [offseason]. We never even talked about OKC, though."

I'm no NBA scholar or historian but I can not recall ever seeing someone do that quite like Book did in that clip. Took three watches to see what actually happened. So smooth.

This draft reform is pretty big news.

We should go ALL IN on one more tank in this top 5 loaded draft. TRADE BLEDSOE!

Those 2019 and 2021 Miami picks could be GOLD.

+ Whatever we get for Bledsoe.

Sadly, the 18' Miami pick will convey this year :(

Why, do you like the 19 draft better?

Disappointed the draft reform didn't apply this season.

Teams 5-10 get better odds which is where I see us if we play on merit.

It also means there's more incentive / demand to finish bottom 4 as it is the last time they'll ever get odds that high.

I think the most likely scenario is that we finish just outside the coverted top tier but McDonough will gets aggresive and is willing to overpay to move up a few spots by adding either Miami, Miami, Bledsoe to draft the last superstar needed to create a big 3 (Booker, Jackson, 2018).

Nah, just better odds for a late lottery pick in 19' (wont matter for us at all, we're #PHX)

I do not think it is a big deal.

People are talking about 5 big time prospects for next year's draft, but we are one season away and those names are gonna change for sure.

This year all the people were talking about three players as a consensus Top #3 picks. And you know what? One of them is playing for us now, and we were picking #4.

We are too far away of all of that IMO, that reform in the draft probably favor us or not...too soon to know.

Hopefully Watson is fair and wont just give the starting job to Chriss because they are close or want to play it safe or something....Bender should get if he balls out in camp. Although, i admit im no fan of Chriss at all...

I like how, at the end, Watson said, 'what do we have Bled'.

Back to the Warren debate - I wonder if this extention is Server thinking back to Joe Johnson. An extension eerily similar to this would have locked up JJ through the SSOL era.

If you look at their first three years in the NBA their Per 100 Poss averages are very similar. Now, TJ is a year older than JJ entering his fourth year and his lack of playmaking skills limits his ceiling in comparison to Johnson.

If Warren can take a step forward in shooting and defense (like JJ did but not to that level) they will have a bargain contract on their hands.
