Not really sure what we do with Deng this year tbh. He is still much more serviceable than Brewer but if we somehow find a taker for his contract than theres no reason to give him minutes over Nance/Kuzma but id say we let him backup Ingram for the 1st 5 games and see if he has any juice left because he wasn't horrible in Miami. Until we land elite 2 way players in the frontcourt this is still a 30 win team max

Curious to see what we do with Deng myself. Will we try to get him involved, and showcase him? Do they just sit him on bench? Do they wipe the slate clean, and see what he brings?

The contract is done. No use holding a grudge against the guy. By the same token....Magic/Rob owe him nothing, and have no reason to feel like he should be played. Is he still better than other options?

Alot of guys at the 3 and 4 position....do you even waste time giving Deng minutes, or do you give them to youth and just try to add him to trades? It's harsh....as I thought Deng still had something to give.

Perhaps he can bring some solid minutes this year, and at least soften the hearts of Laker fans. It's gotta suck going out there knowing 25-30 thousand fans are just staring at you wishing to god you would be traded.
