Re: Dynasty League Discussion
I don't think it's fair to change the draft style for this draft, it severely hurts those of us that went young for the long haul. This is definitely something that should have been ironed out before we started everything.
I say reverse snake this draft, and then come up with a plan moving forward whatever that may be(for what it's worth, never been a fan of the auction style).

Re: Dynasty League Discussion
I agree we should stick to the reverse order snake for this year's draft and then if we are going to make any changes we can start it with next year's draft.
Let's get the draft started. Phystic is up first, right?

Well, lets wait since batsmasher took it over and moved it to yahoo and will be entering all the players. He is an aussie so he sleeps during our daytime hours...something like maybe 10-6 phx time..or roundabouts. I'm ready but lets wait.
Hopefully we can iron it out tonight though or this discussion may repeat itself tomorrow.

I believe he already got all of the players entered in.

Yes, I saw that. But his last post was in the middle of the night talking about how the draft order was not determined.

I'm going to be traveling tomorrow and Saturday so might be a little slow picking but I'll be checking my phone regularly.

Yeah, if you look at the draft results, he put the order so that I picked 16th in the first round (the keepers), but the snake left me with the first pick after all 7 keeper spots were entered (113th pick). So long as the rest of the order is indeed correct, I don't see why we couldn't disregard the snake and let Harden Nuff For Ya make their selection, unless the order needs to be reworked so players can be entered so we have an up to date player pool.

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I don't think those numbers matter. The teams are listed right now in reverse draft order, so that's the way we can draft here. They might have to be entered in the system in a different order if the next pick he enters would be assigned to you. I think had he listed Durant as the first pick and done it the exact opposite pick, the numbers for future picks would be in exact reverse draft order, except for round 5, which would have to be same order as round 4 given the odd number of rounds and massive advantage for teams at the top of the draft in round 1.
Another link for others to see what we are talking about. https://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/52568/draftresults?drafttab=team

Re: Dynasty League Discussion
Yeah. The main point of the picks in Yahoo is to be able to see the available players. It doesn't matter at all which way we input the picks into the system as long as we're keeping good track of the order in here.

We gonna make a new thread so the rosters/draft results are easily found?

Maybe, but we need to iron out subsequent draft details first before we begin or we will run into this same problem next year. That's why I tried to just establish how we would do it this year and subsequent years a while back after thinking about it for awhile, but then yours and other opinions came in so now we are at a standstill.

Re: Dynasty League Discussion
If no one is vehemently opposed to the reverse draft order and having a random determination of lotto teams with equal odds, and the random determination is based on Suns wins (digits of wins combined), and then after the random draft order is determined, any team that did not pay within 25 games of their total possible games moves down two spots in the draft order (unless they are already bottom two in lotto results), speak up. All teams outside of lotto would go reverse order, and round 5 would be the same draft order as round 4 given the odd number of rounds.
The first part is obviously what I mentioned Sunday I think...and then there was mention of inactivity...anywhere between 5 games short to 100 games short. I think 25 is a good number to keep people really active. With two IR spots and 3 bench spots, and yahoo having multiple positions, you'd have to have massive injuries to like your 5-7 key players to miss that.
If you have a slight variation or thought, we can change that game shortage number. I know some liked the random determination of lotto teams using Suns wins and some didn't. It does put an extra interesting twist on watching the Suns though. What if they are sitting at 29 or 39 wins with one game left. A win would drastically change the lotto teams. There is only about a 10% chance that happens.

I like the tie to Suns wins. It makes for a fun connection to the actual season.

I'm good with this suggestion. A good suggestion is better na no suggestion, so let's move with it. If we find a better one later, we change it again.

Re: Fantasy Leagues Discussion
I would suggest 41 games. That's half a season across 9 positions. I know I set my lineups on a weekly basis, and there are some game time decisions I miss. 25 seems like too easy a number to get.
