The more I hear from this team the harder it is to justify or express my hype. They're doing everything they can to be a buzzkill except for Afflalo (see below). This is starting to feel like the first season of the rebuild that doesn't matter what happens. One way or another the team will be cleansed of the past 5 years. Either we wind up being good all of a sudden or we suck again and everyone is finally gone.

Really nice to see him excited about being back. I think he's going to help a lot he shot 41% from behind the arc last year I don't think we had anyone in the 40s last season. I thought he tried to do too much when he was here the first time but he pretty much had to he was the most established scorer on that team.

Well.....it's one thing to promise an outcome... it's another thing to straight up promise that you will do everything possible to get to that outcome. It is easier for Afflalo to come in and sprinkle a little more sunshine and ferry dust... because he didn't experience the frustration and doubts that the young players had to go thru over last season. I think it shows a lot of maturity and growth by our players..... "we're going to bust our asses no matter what and that is all we can give to the city.... all with the known prize that every team in this league should be striving for... 'SUCCESS'..." but no matter what there are no short cuts and at the root of it all... it stems from hard work. But i do see how you can feel fresh as a daisy going from the other guys to afflalo... i'm sure we have all felt that too. It's just 2 different types of excitement.

If for one am excited. On paper the team is a 36-38 win club, but the players and coaches are saying all the things of "a team."

What if it all clicks? Is 50 wins totally impossible?

My point: this is the most excited I have been for a season's entry for years.

Yes. It's totally impossible. I think mid 30s is the best realistic case scenario.

I so want Mario to take off and be what many of us believe what he can be. He seems more relaxed and prepared. Between these two pics above, his body seems the same, but look at his face... in his rookie photo he seems a bit nervous, almost scared in a new country and about to enter the biggest basketball league in the world as the 5th pick. No pressure. In the new photo he's relaxed, smiling and having a good time. It might (hopefully) make a difference.
