Because there is nothing to talk about for the next few days besides ping pong and Okafor:

Over/under on Fultz's PPG the next 5 years
This year/rookie year- 15.5ppg - UNDER
2nd year- 17.5ppg - OVER
3rd year- 19.5ppg - OVER
4th year- 22.5ppg - UNDER
5th year- 24.5ppg - UNDER

I think Fultz should be an efficient scorer hovering around 20-22ppg in his prime. I think he's around 13/14ppg this year, but will take a massive leap in his second year. Just a feeling.

i think he makes at least 6 fg per game. two of them from behind the 3 point line. that's 14 points right there. he'll get to the ft line at least twice a game. say he takes 6 ft attempts per game. makes at least 4. that's 18 points.

i say at least 17-18ppg this season. his priority is scoring buckets. he'll get his, especially with simmons distributing and all the floor spacing he could only dream about. i think what will surprise most is how efficiently he scores, as a rookie.

the guy is a legit 20ppg shooter/scorer imo. that's all he knows, that's all he does, that's all he's use to. he did it in hs, he did it his freshman year in college, wouldnt be surprised if he gets close to being a 20ppg scorer in his rookie year

It's an easy Under on the 15.5 for this year. 14ppg is probably the Max and a good target, considering he has to share the ball with Embiid and Simmons. Bradley Beal and D'angelo Russell scored less than 14 ppg in their rookie years and they are probably similar level talents. Going forward I wouldn't want to bet one way or the other until I see what he looks like against NBA players.

I’d take Fultz over Russell and Beal coming out of college for sure.

Well I don't think Embiid would have averaged 17 a night in the NBA as a 20 year old the way Okafor did. We were just talking rookie ppg here.

Btw Fultz averaged 3 more points per 40 than Okafor and Beal was 2 fewer than Embiid.

I'm just not sure how there is a comparison bt the two as scoring prospects. Beal has come a long way but wasn't in Fultz's league coming out.

languages, dialects and slang is such an interesting topic for me. english is not my first language, but i always thought i had a pretty good command of the language. and then i walk into my new office and on the first day my new scottish co-worker tells me someone had a monkey on the jolly in the bumper, but it drifted like a barge and got chinned at the line. that was the point where i knew i was about to learn a totally new language.

anyway, to get back to basketball, i wonder if it's difficult for the international players when they come in and are confronted with slang. even if their english is pretty good, it has to take quite some time to adjust. i mean dario was playing away from home already, but still his english wasn't at a great level when he arrived in philly.

That's what happens with any 2nd/3rd/4th language you're not totally fluent in, nothing special about slang or English with that. And Steve Nash is a native English speaker so he's irrelevant to the discussion. There's a gigantic difference between not having to figure out a handful of words from context here and there and not being effortless with structural things like tenses, conditionals, phrasing etc--which makes the unfamiliar words more confusing.

What is this? Fultz shot fine. Maybe it’s just for free throws. The one thing I felt pretty good about Fultz was his shooting. This just boggles my mind.

Unless you meant that he shot fine the past few days of camp with his odder release, which is probably true too, but not something they wanted to encourage.
