This is why spouting absolutes with no internal insight. Harris might start. He might. To argue he will/won’t one way or the other makes no sense. An opinion I understand. But a concrete statement? No.

Good. Now we all know Johnson will be able to prove he's either an all star in the making or the filler part of a deal. It'll take about 20-30 games before what he really is becomes obvious, but here we go. This team now has two good defenders in the starting lineup so penetration should be cut down at those positions by a fair margin.

Now lets see how he uses Kennard and ellenson. They should BOTH see decent burn for this to work. Bench needs as much firepower as possible and both those players are offensive types.

I really hate the Galloway signing now as Stan loves players like him.

on top of the order they were announced, when they were doing the walkthrough the starters were reggie/bradley/johnson/harris/drummond and the bench was ish/kennard/bullock/ellenson/boban. SVG did say that he's trying to get the young guys as many reps as he can so i wouldn't say kennard/ellenson are locks to get PT over galloway and leuer just based off tonight's demonstration.

can't wait for them to actually play! i chuckled when the rookies got hazed by having to dance in front of everyone and felt bad for the one guy that was scared to death to dance haha.

That is excellent news. Ellenson is going to be deadly off the bench I'm calling it right now. Kid has serious offensive game. His defense won't be as important being a bench player and he can shred second units.

Kennard is a dead eye shooter, something the Pistons havnt had in ages.

Good on Stan. Time to roll with the kids and NOW im excited!

Who posts absolutes?

We're all just posting our own thoughts here, aren't we?

sorry should have clarified, SVG made it sound like he was talking about practice reps. that's just my interpretation though, i'm sure we'll find out more through the preseason.

Lol

I still take that statement as your opinion though.

SVG is a weird **** dude and nothing he does anymore surprises me:

1 - preaches defense but acquires RJ, Tobias, Henry, Kennard, Bobo (& built around Dre)

2 - (rightly) states his Orlando teams were ahead of their time because he hates mid range shooters but then he hasn't exactly followed that blueprint here

3 - talks about moving the ball more but we play a PnR, PG dominated system

WTF!

As far as Kennard and Ellenson getting meaningful minutes over the likes of Galloway and Tolliver, I'll believe it when I see it once October 18th rolls around. In preseason Stan isn't as uptight and stubborn.
