did MKG really go 1-2 from 3pt or is that a boxscore mistake?

I've been trying to find video of it, but all I've found is a recorded stream that's missing the 1st quarter. The Charlotte Observer has a box score posted in their recap and it has the same data - that Dwight went 0-2, Cody 0-1, and MKG 1-2 from 3.

of course he had to make it in such a game. no film, no evidence, just some obscure tweet about it. five years later we'll get some Zapruder film of it after he goes 5-for-50 in those particular years.

I saw it, it was a corner 3. Thought it was a two with the crappy stream quality.

So it looks like all media outlets buried the lede. The headline should have been "MKG shoots near career high number of three point attempts."

Once the season starts and hopefully he plays more disciplined, I don't mind him starting at all. Cody can roast 2nd units and also stay healthier while Dwight guards the brusing C's that usually start NBA games.
The only thing is I think Cody should be playing with Kemba a lot. Maybe Batum should play more in the first quarter and let Kemba in a little with the 2nd unit.
Dwight I dont think will be the problem. Starting MKG and Marvin will because neither can create offense or hit a outside shot at this point. I think we have to start Kaminsky just for the threat of the 3 and for more passing. I would say bench MKG but Marvin can't play the 3 anymore.
I'm glad batum is out for a short time so we can see what bacon brings

You're glad our max contract guy is out with a serious, possibly career altering elbow injury for most of the season so we can see our 2nd round pick who was unimpressive in college?

Max contract doesn't mean squat. Batum has been average at best since coming here. I haven't given up on him yet, but it's not like he's on the same level as most other max contract players. And, Bacon has all the tools to be a serviceable role player. He also put up some great numbers in college....
"Worst Contract: Nicolas Batum (4 years, $99.1 million)
Nicolas Batum's first season as a max player could not have been less inspiring. He notched a career-worst effective field-goal percentage and appeared, at times, incapable of serving as Charlotte's secondary playmaker.
For the second straight year, Batum registered one of the two worst turnover percentages among players to jumpstart at least 100 pick-and-rolls. He compounded matters with a nosediving accuracy; his 34.1 percent knockdown rate as the ball-handler outpaced only Whitehead and Andrew Harrison.
Overpaying Batum now isn't a huge deal when Walker works on the cheap. He's still 28. The Hornets are getting his best years, and he's a rangy defensive pest. But this contract doesn't look as good more than a year later—particularly when Michael Kidd-Gilchrist's return has left him to play so much shooting guard."

"2. SG Nicolas Batum
2017-18 Salary: $22,434,783
2016-17 P.E.R.: 15.8
Nicolas Batum is the starting shooting guard for the Charlotte Hornets... at least for now. He will surely face intense competition from Hornets first round pick Malik Monk next season, or even later this season. However, for now, Batum is the starter at SG for the Hornets. Being one of the highest-paid players on the Hornets, and possibly losing your starting role does not go well for Batum.
Conclusion: Very Bad Deal (3)"
