Great deal, likely an opt out, but only after Lowry and Serge finish their deals.

Raps are now up to $124m in salaries for 2018-19. So in the tax as things stand. And now we can stop with the nonsense that if we keep Young Player X it will cost us Norm. Nope, the rest of the young guys will have to prove their worth without any consideration of other contracts.

Very nice deal for both sides.

Powell might of got more if he had waited, but waiting would have been a big risk. Securing a 42M contract is life changing for him. The Raps get a valuable rotation player (possible starter) at an affordable 10M a year.

This needs to be emphasized more. Masai just essentially did what he was supposed to do and Powell took it.

I'm surprised Powell didn't bet on himself and trying to get a bigger contract in FA. But it's good we have him for 4 more years
