For all the criticism I sometimes heap on my beloved team (usually because I want them to win so badly); one thing I should never fault the Denver Nuggets for is their involvement in the community. I questioned this in the past and spent some time this past off-season researching this entire topic. What I found was very impressive.
They are involved with and/or sponsor several different organizations that help young people get involved with sports.
They hire former NBA players and other personnel to become what they call "Community Ambassadors" - my personal favorite.
They encourage season ticket holders that do not plan to use tickets for a game, to donate them and they will also donate other tickets - all to provide access to games mostly for young people who could never afford to go to games.

King Soopers is proud to honor a Hero of the Game for each home Nuggets game. This unique experience includes 2 lower level tickets, a VIP parking pass, and a thank you gift from King Soopers. Each Hero is also honored during an in-game feature and shown on PepsiVision. If you or someone you know would like to be considered for Hero of the Game during the 2017-18 season, please fill out the online form.
King Soopers is my favorite Nuggets sponsoring partner because of the "Hero of the Game" at each home game. Each hero receives an in-game feature that honors them plus they also receive two lower level tickets & VIP parking plus a thank you gift.

NuggetsWY is not only a great mod here, he’s also a well rounder poster trying to come up with topics to engage guys on this forum. If you don’t like the topic, fine but no need to insult or belittle the OP or our mod.

Thanks Sky! Obviously someone that hasn't been around our group very long. Last year I stated clearly and openly that I have been to Nuggets games but pretty much don't go any more due to health issues plus the 200 mile round trip and limited funds.
For those curious, I have watched the Denver Nuggets since their first game as the Denver Rockets. Being semi-house-bound, I watch every single game - usually on my DVR.
I do however understand the humor about "get paid" - but yeah, that kind of humor is harder to read without the non-verbals. Lala, seen you posting some, being here more and paying attention and getting to know the most frequent posters is a good thing.
