I going to tackle Robert Caro's LBJ 4 book set (Yes, my father already read them). He has the hardcovers, as he's truly old school. I just found them for free and will read them on the kindle.

reading The Cartel, Dan Winslow, about the Mexican drug wars. really good book along with its predecessor The Power of the Dog. good story but extremely graphic and violent, much like the reality on the ground.

It's amazing. I was sad in the beginning and thought it started off a little slow (before the life-changing event happened), but it's been non-stop amazing since.

I'm definitely going to read the full series. I might read Dan Brown's Origin next (depending on when I finish Red Rising), but I'm not going to go more than 1 book without reading the next in the Red Rising series.

Unless I have iI've also got to go back and read some of the Star Wars Old Republic books, but those can wait for when there's nothing I'm itching to read...unless I have a SW itch...which happens sometimes.

I’m between series and having a hard time finding something to read. I’ve always been a fantasy reader (was an early member on the GRRM forum in the late 90s), read all off the wild card series, everything Bernard Cornwell has written, really enjoyed everything by Steve Rinella (hunter, meat eater fame). I went on a horror kick a few years ago and read about 50 horror books.
BAF Pacers

F. Campazzo/ J. Clarkson/ K. Lewis Jr
D. Mitchell/ J. Richardson/S. Merrill
Luka/Melo
Zion/Gay/Gabriel
KAT/Kabengele

F. Mason, Jontay, J. Harris

What type of book are you looking for?

Check out AG Riddle. He's got things from sci-fi to horror. I read I think 5(?) of his books and I've loved every one. Red Rising (the book BR7 and MP suggested I read) is also amazing.

For fantasy, Henry Cavill is reading The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive) and I might be reading that when I'm done with my current list of books to read. It's got solid reviews.

Because of this post, I looked up the plot. Sounds right up my alley. Gonna buy it.

SW books good? I bought one that is about origin of the sith but haven't got to it yet.

I haven't gotten the rest of the red rising yet. Still working on IT lol

You’re gonna love it, dude. Takes a few chapters to really figure out what’s going on, but once you do...:o

If you want Sci fi fantasy, go red rising. I'm telling ya.

Horror, I bought HP lovecraft collections of his short stories. Holy ****, he was ahead of his time. I've had to put it down because I was so freaked out - I purposefully read/watch horror to freak myself out.

Yes. Reading the synopsis helped me to have a bit of an understanding as I read. Plus my buddy gave me a quick run down

What’s it called?

I got into them because of my dad (he read basically all of them before they made the old canon into legends), and have been reading them since like 6th grade. I personally love them, but I’m a huge SW fan. Illmatic is as well.
.
I recently finished book 2 of Marcus Sakey’s brilliance trilogy (A better world). Really good. It’s about a futuristic world where people start being born with certain abilities. And some of them are trying to influence the world into starting a war. Hopefully the movie gets made. Been talked about for a while.

I'm going through my kindle sets. Forgot I had a few on the docket. Lost survivors, and Three. I started Three. About a lone gunman during part apocalyptic era.

Black Privilege by Charlemagne Tha God was a cool read. It's a self help book made for a target audience in their early to mid twenties. At 23, I needed this.

The Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson was a fun read as well. Another book that is essential to self development.

Currently reading Change Agent by Daniel Suarez.
I've read all his books. They get a little hollywoodish over the top sometimes but they're a nice mix of thriller, action, sci-fi, and tech.
