There are a few posters that make this forum a miserable place. Every day they come in almost every single thread with the same pessimistic dismissive arguments and the threads just devolve into a back and forth. Can we cut this **** out already? The GB is more readable than here these days,

Besides, Richaun has a track record of being a far superior basketball player on both ends than Okafor. Making mistakes in a preseason game isn't significant enough to reverse course on Holmes in favor of Okafor.

Except Okafor is a very good passing big. I've never had a problem having the ball in his hands.

As far as Holmes goes I like him and I still think he can play limited minutes at the five but he sort of showed the problem with that. I'm interest to see if Saric can do the role better.

Issue isn't whether Okafor is good at passing it's that the ball has historically stuck in his hands when he gets it killing ball movement. One of the biggest things I'm looking to see him improve on is making quicker decisions. No more palming the ball.

I don't really see it that way. I'm a fan of the inside outside game I do want him to make the pass quickly when the double comes but inorder for Okafor to be useful he has to be dominant on the offensive end and inorder to do that he has to touch the ball and be allowed to go at his defender 1-1 which honestly he has proven extremely effective at.

One of the main problems I had last year beyond the general lack of effort was the fact we sort of went away from feeding him in the post. If the plan is just to be a perimeter shooting team then we might as well get rid of him now and stop the pretense because he is never going to be good enough on defense to be an effective basketball player with a small role on offense.

He doesn't need to palm the ball for 4 seconds to make a move. If he wants to go 1 on 1 on a guy fine, just do it immediately before the defense gets set. If it's not open then recognize that and move the ball. It's not like you're going to get more open the longer you wait.

Can't wait for this game. I have a feeling that Simmons is going back to show us a bit of his scoring arsenal against the Celtics. I'm calling it now that we will see atleast 1 outside shot from him tonight

Yeah, it's pretty clear Simmons is going to be a problem for the League.

Really really hope Simmons and Fultz put on the type of show that makes all Celtics fans have fits tonight. The over-reactions on here are bad, but it's 3 times worse on their board. Makes for some entertaining reading material for it's time to go to bed.

Offense wasn't the problem. He was awful on defense, truly horrible. Made Wright look like Olajuwon. Hopefully it was just a "bad game" but he did nothing well on that end of the floor.

Richaun for all his speed and thunderousness, has given up over 50%FGA every year he's been here. Joel by contrast darn near led the league at around 42%. Okafor is usually around 47-48% (its guarding other peoples man in pnr that he can't do). Richaun does not move all that well laterally. Doesn't have good help recognition. I had hoped his three point shooting was further along. If Okafor has to go, so does Richaun. Bolden and Pasecniks have more potential defensively.

When Okafor retreats vs high screens and our perimeter defender is forced to defend two people at once, is this counted in Okafor's FGA% or does it go to the guy who's scrambling to make up for Okafor's deficiencies?
jonjames is a signature bet welcher.

HAHAHA. Weak AF. How can Fultz not play. He's not hurt. The coaches are hiding him. He needs to stop hiding and show people what he's made of after having a horrible game.

If you want to be taken seriously and not be labeled a troll, stuff like this doesn't help. If you didn't want to draft him fine, but how the hell do you know what his shoulder feels like?
