Rich Hill running in a straight line to 1B because he got a late jump.

He had no chance.

2 on for Puig.

I want to stay out of the inning ending DP but I dont trust Puig to make contact.

Good to get a run on the board.

Nice job by Puig.
Good hustle.

Remember he was late a week ago so stay angry at him.

Robbie Ray looks like Rick Ankiel in 2000 NLDS right now, gotta hammer that kid in next 2 innings before you give him to settle in.

Puig's At-Bat

Post#154 » by Ranma » Sun Oct 8, 2017 2:00 am

Puig is getting criticized roundly on Twitter for swinging on the 3-0 pitch out of the zone given Ray's strugggles, but I'm actually thankful that we scored a run. I can see where people are coming from, though, since Ray possibly would have walked Hill (assuming he takes) given his control issues.

Home Plate Chumpire Phil Cuzzi

Post#155 » by Ranma » Sun Oct 8, 2017 2:03 am

We're getting squeezed by the ump tonight, which isn't helping Hill at all. Ray got a strike call on a ball well outside the zone, to boot.

Great Goldy on with the league’s most notorious masher up.

lol so the internet wants Puig to walk with Hill batting rather than Puig scoring a run and Hill coming up still? if Hill was gonna get a hit, it would have worked in either situation. Hill didn't hit. it was not going to work in either situation and only mercy would have been Hill makes only 1 out and let Taylor come up and still with no runs on the board with two outs already. forget social media. most people are idiots.

We are.

Worst part is it seems inconsistent which is what players hate more than anything.
