Bucks tie, I see Lasry was 1 of 3 board members that resigned from TWC board.

EDIT: Above already noted, lol.

Blade Runner 2049 was absolutely incredible. I could've spent another 3 hours just seeing characters go about their day in this world.

I'm also not surprised at all that it's under-performing at the box office.

Absolutely agree. Just epic. Visually stunning, eye candy. Story was just fine too, very good.

The box office stuff makes me sad. I love seeing movies in the theater and when good movies don't do well, **** studios stop taking chances. At least Dunkirk did well in box office but Nolan can only make so many movies.

Blade Runner was a beautifully made movie, and Gosling rocked again. Wasn't fond of Leto's character again (Joker), even though I like him as an actor usually and was excited to see him in here. I was hoping he would have an epic Hauer like performance.. Maybe I just expected too much but it wont make my top 25 all time I don't think, but I definitely have to watch it again, was very tired and it isn't the quickest paced movie....

I think Blade Runner is going to be fine. They wanted 50m which I think is ridiculous. Going to be a slow burn, but it'll get there. Nothing else big comes out for a while.

I liked Blade Runner, it was a nice homage, hope it inspires more indie films.

Trying to figure out if that's just some tricky editing in that last scene of the trailer or not.

Anyone watching the Tin Star series? I just wanted to know if Christina Hendricks does any nude scenes. Asking for a friend.

Nah joking. It's a good series (so far), recommended.

I just finished the episode I think you were talking about and yeah it was a stomach punch.

I realize critics like the show but overall halt and catch fire might be the most underappreciated show of this era of TV. Its really really good.

I'll have to check it out. As of now I think that honor goes to The Leftovers, which I already deeply miss.

The Americans imo.

All good shows though.

I watch all three and agree all are excellent shows. I personally enjoy halt more than the Americans but wouldn't fault anyone for liking the americans more.

Its interesting comparing the leftovers and halt because in some ways they are so different but followed similar paths. They both got better as they went along and were underwatched by the general public, also both got cancelled sooner than I'm sure their creators would have liked but in a way the shortness of the series and the fact they got a send off season added to their quality. Man its hard for me to rank the two. The leftovers was so damn weird and unique and the last season was awesome. Halt was more enjoyable and imo a little more balanced all the way through.

Seems to happen to shows that have mediocre first seasons and massive improvements after that. Halt definitely falls into that category.

I think it is. The backgrounds are different. I'm guessing she's talking to Luke.

I'm just going to predict something now: she's a Palpatine.

Definitely some truth to this. I really didn't like the first season of the leftovers it was just too depressing. I don't think season 1 of halt was bad but its certainty improved. Timing hurt that show because it came on right after mad men ended and since it wasn't as good people tuned it out.
