Except for the Grizz game, the team seems much better with Fultz at PG on halfcourt

This is all getting very bizarre. I don't know what to believe anymore.

Forgive me if I don't believe that. Definite shoulder issue and definitely not playing the rest of the SEASON.

Fixed. I wasn't used to watching a high drafted rookie playing in the preseason his first year anyway. We need to do what we always do to rookies and that's redshirt them. That's what we do lol.

If someone has a shoulder injury the remedy is to let him play and barrel into defenders on his way to the rim? I can't even believe the incompetence. Feels like any day now we should be waiting for news of rotator cuff surgery.

Likely the same injury keeping a lot of the rookies from playing the rest of preseason - dreaded precaution.

If he’s missing regular season games than okay, preseason, whatever. I don’t believe most minor preseason injuries.

I would consider the source here. The Ringer (Bill Simmons) has some pretty heavy Boston bias. They loved Fultz when he appeared to be going to Boston and now he is damaged goods (Danny won the trade!...). Fultz is currently banged up (sore knee and shoulder) but it does not sound serious.

God, I wish/hope Markelle embraces the catch and shoot game like DSJ. I'm watching their game imagining Ben Simmons out there instead of Yogi Ferrell. Wow.

What could've been. What could still be? If Fultz can elevate his off the ball game, he could develop into the better player because of them long ass arms on defense.

Fingers crossed.

How long until we get the press release "With Markelle's shoulder still bothering him, we decided to get him an MRI to reveal exactly what was going on, and the MRI revealed he has a torn labrum and will require surgery ending his season. He will be out indefinitely, no time table.

So don't ask us."

If he openly admits to it hurting so much that he can't shoot a FT normally, then why is he even playing? This is absurd.

Philly medical staff strikes again.

You know, if all this turns out to be true and his shoulder is a big issue, then it can only lead me to one conclusion, and that it isn't the medical staff and was never the medical staff.

The Sixers hired apparently a world renowned doctor and we're still getting these kinds of issues and incompetence? There is just no way. If this story is true it tells me that it has nothing to do with the doctors, and the medical staff and front office are getting directives from either Harris or O'Neil demanding they continue to play these guys. It's the only thing that would make sense. After what this medical staff went through with Embiid there's no way they'd be dumb enough with a world renowned doctor at the helm to make this same mistake again with an injured shoulder which is pretty freaking important.

That free throw shooting is an issue but I think folks are overstating his perceived lack of athleticism.

This sounds like a serious injury waiting to be announced

if he truly is changing his form due to pain, then I am speechless, legit speechless

he looks nothing like the player he was in summer league just a few months ago

If Fultz misses the year, that could be a breaking point. It’s way past enough with this injury bug ridiculousness.

Eh I don't know about if it seems much better or better at all. The ball moves a lot more with Fultz as the primary initiator in part because I think he can't run the offense as of yet so because of that he's happy giving up the ball/dribble to a teammate.

With Ben it's like he's the server and everyone else is waiting to get spoofed. Issue is since we aren't running much action, specifically the PnR it literally looks like he's just standing around waiting to build a head of steam for an iso rim run or a kick out. It's a lot like early Bron ball except he's not the finisher Bron is and our shooters are questionable outside of J.J(not counting Korkmaz because I don't think the coaches count him so why should I).

Where'd did you have DSj, on your board again? I remember you had him pretty high, but I can't remember if you had him over Fultz.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I might relax on that judgment for now--yesterday Fultz was clearly trying to attack as much as possible and wasn't even bothering with his usual bread and butter (pull-ups and jumpers), and it looks like pretty much everyone on the team had a private agenda other than 'let's try to win this game.' We don't know what Fultz will look like as a catch-shoot guy when he's actually part of a functional offense and, if last college season meant anything, it should be at least as good as what DSJ brings to the table in that regard. That was one of his major selling pts and it's a disappointment if he's not at least an average off-ball shooter.

BB says he thinks Fultz's shoulder might be more serious than he's letting on.

HOW. DO. THEY. NOT. KNOW. HOW. SERIOUS. THEIR. TOP. DRAFT. PICK'S. INJURY. IS?????????

What in the holy hell of Zeus, Xenu. Allah or whatever god you believe in is going on with this Fing team?

Here's a novel idea. Give the dude an MRI, get him examined and find out how serious it is. How could they not know the seriousness of this?

There is no mystery to when he hurt his shoulder. It happened in the first preseason game. I remember the play.

He ran into his own man I think, but he hit it hard, and then was flexing it right afterward obviously feeling some pain.

At that moment my brother texted me and called it that he would miss the next game, and he did.

Whatever is going on with his free throw form was going on before then because we noticed it in training camp.

I don’t understand the goofy form, but it isn’t related to his injury.

That's speculation on your part. No one knows for sure. He could have aggravated it then, and hurt it a while back and changed his form because of it.
