Have you not been watching the Thunder in the last ten years? Iso basketball is Thunder basketball. I think we need to bring in some one new to help with the offense. It is painful to watch talent like Westbrook and George go to waste because we can not do any off ball movement and ball movement in general.

I just would think with Melo and George here the offense would change.

This was finally a game where they looked like a team that sort of understood how to play together.

This season's going to be a lot of fun you guys!

Btw looking at the numbers, there is no way Melo or George was that good. Wow. I thought they were both terrible

I sincerely hope he isn't pouting about this. He already had more chance than he deserved. He should be thankful he got to play in NBA games and make some money. Now go overseas and spend the rest of your career there where you belong, scrub.

george was quite good defensively. both were at 50%ts or below, and george was turnover prone. i don't think either of them were 'good' on offense. lots of mid-range shooting.

I think there were several positives. Our starters destroyed theirs and we played well defensively. Huestis and Ferguson can be really key guys can on our bench. They look like they’ll be much better contributors than Dakari and Grant.

I'm going to roll with Huestis but wow, you don't want him putting it on the floor or trying to make a pass off the dribble. Just spot up, Josh.

If Singler sees the floor before Huestis, Donovan should be fired.

Finding a player on our bench that’s competent at anything is a victory. Obviously the guy has some weaknesses but he’s much better than the other options.

It just makes more sense why Donovan hasn't been in any hurry to play him. He's very 1 dimensional offensively. Those spot ups are great but that appears to be literally all he can competently accomplish.

Maybe Presti has more control of how we run our offense because there is not much difference between Donovan and Brooks. I know Donovan was not supposed to come in change anything but his offense at Florida was better than this Thunder offense now.

Man, what if we gave up 3.5M cash for Jordan Bell. Damn that would be an awesome small ball lineup for us.

Warriors thinking light years ahead, really. Pay 3.5M plus his salary whereas it’s hard to get a good small ball 5 for that much money in today’s league.

Westbrook
Abrines
George
Anthony
Bell

Westbrook
Abrines
George
Patterson
Bell

Bah gawd. Wish we would have done that.

The offense definitely has some early looks for easy baskets; flex screen, single-double, etc...then you'll see some spread pick n roll or an iso/post up.

Key things will be hitting on the early offense, getting out in transition and offensive rebounding.

One thing I like is the defense because if you're going to shoot the kind of shots you've been getting you have to defend at a high level.

Didn't see this one but looks like Russ took over and the defense is legit.

I'd say Melo was too

I think the idea of less midrange shots, is highly unlikely. That's a huge part of all of their games. Isos too. Even the Spurs + Thunder stars play a lot of Iso Bball. It's just mixed in well. Systems can be broken down, sometimes you just have to score or feed the hot hand, or let a guy try to work into a rhythm.

I thought they played well tonight. Defense and turnovers are the key to this team. But overall they created a lot of open looks that should've gone down. Not just 3's, but around the rim, with a lot of no calls causing misses. I also liked seeing Russell's willingness to take the open 3 in this game.

Melo's defense has gone overlooked but I expected that. Just waiting for the moment he forgets to close out on a shooter for him to get blasted by the world.
