By the way, have we become the official Dragon Ball series board? I can honestly live with that.

Characters I want to see again after the ToP:

Serious Lee (he has cool powers), Obuni, Duo de Dangers (Lavender can **** off for all I care, but Bergamo and Basil are awesome), and Frost (I didn't like him until he got erased, I want him to gain his vengeance in this life or the next).

is the switch worth buying? Nintendo has kind of isolated themselves over the years.

Iron Banner doesn't take into account player level anymore.

I sunk over 125 hours into Zelda alone and will spend even more once story DLC comes out in December. Another 100 went into Mario Kart. Another 75 and counting towards Splatoon 2. Mobile console gaming has been so bad for me. I used to sleep in the air. Now I play video games, a lot of the times with coworkers.

my prediction is

-Universe 7 will somehow win once Goku completes his Ultra Instinct form and when he wins, he will wish for everyone who got erased to exist again within their universe, meaning that Hit, Caulifa/Kale etc will exist in Goku's universe, as well as Jiren. as a twist though, Goku could still lose to Jiren and Jiren could use the Super DragonBalls to request that everyone who was erased comes back to life. To me, Jiren is an avatar for Superman, an alien from another planet that will do the right thing.

-Jiren and the Pride Troopers will become allies. Jiren isn't a bad guy, he's just strong as hell. it's obvious he and Goku will become friends that will have to fight stronger enemies.

-The Gods of Destruction or Angels or something in connection to them will become THE enemies. The Goku Black/Zamasu saga was foreshadowing.

-Outside of Goku and Vegeta, the original cast will fade into the background because they're seriously weak. The stakes have been raised. Only opponents Beerus/Whis level or higher can fight Goku

-I think Caulifa will somehow become one of Goku's students along with Uub. (they hinted at this when Goku started showing her what she can really do). Goku becoming a Master who teaches students is a natural progression.

-Pan and Bra (Bulma and Vegeta's daughter) will be more involved since the next logical storyline is to show what happened after DragonBall Z ended. They'll probably replace Goten and Trunks' role in the series

yeah but what other games does the switch have that isn't Nintendo IP? The reason i roll with Playstation is because they have multiple properties like Overwatch, Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, The Last of Us, etc.

So what's the deal with Iron Banner? it doesn't take player level into account, why is it such a big deal?

It's getting Wolfenstein, Doom, and LA Noire. My friend says portable Skyrim will ruin him. Switch probably won't be getting any of the games you mentioned, especially The Last Of Us since Naughty Dog only does Sony. Still though, the meat of the system is the portability of it. It's as amazing a secondary system as it comes.

So what's the deal with Iron Banner? it doesn't take player level into account, why is it such a big deal?

The first Destiny took into account player levels to separate it from regular Crucible. This one, not so much. I don't plan on playing Destiny 2 until next year, if ever, but the big deal is that you get armor and weapons exclusive to Iron Banner.

No way Frieza is going to kill Goku IMO.... they have this weird relationship similar to Goku/Vegeta where they can love/hate each other haha.

I think Goku will 100% master ultra sense since Saiyans improve after being almost dead usually but it will take at least another level higher to defeat Jiren.

I wasn't actually being serious in thinking he will get erased. Even with EoZ, so as long as he continues to sell toys, Toei won't be getting rid of him, regardless of how much I hope it happens.

Claud wrote:No way Frieza is going to kill Goku IMO...

Nah, they're setting up Frieza giving Goku energy just like Goku gave him energy on Namek. Unlike Vegeta, Frieza sees the bigger picture of the fight and as long as Jiren is on the board, Frieza can't do anything so therefore needs Goku to take him out.

yeah I think last week's ending was a red herring, Freeza is going to give Goku a power boost. Freeza's not exactly wishing for his universe to be erased.

I guess it's foolish to hold out hope that Gohan will one day re-establish himself as one of the heavy hitters?

Kind of sucks that Gohan was the one that was clearly established to have the highest potential of all the Saiyans, but they completely abandoned that because too many fans got mad that he was replacing Goku, so the series shifted back to Goku, and of course Vegeta as well because he's got his own obnoxious fanbase as well.

Seriously, Mystic Gohan was supposed to be the one that took out Majin Buu, but fanboys forced them to make it about Goku.

Any hope of Gohan living up to his potential are now gone with Ultra Instinct in play. everyone else looks like trash now because of Jiren.

You know what, I think ToP has great potential as an arc. Like, it's up there with Chapter Black in regards to an awesome manga storyline, but it's hamstrung by having to follow Universe 7. By that, I mean, wouldn't it be awesome if there was a universe with like a guy similar to Hakushin who could create such a powerful force field that he simply protects his entire team throughout the 48 minutes. And realizing they are going to lose, Dyspo, Toppo, and Jiren all start attacking the shield until the Hakushin-like guy has to say "**** it" and leaves the shield in order to fight. But by having to follow Universe 7, it almost makes it impossible to have a great fights between other universes that mean something in the end.

Man that's some high praise, The Chapter Black Saga from YYH is one of my all times favorites next to The Kyoto Arc from Rurouni Kenshin and The Chimera Ants arc from Hunter X Hunter.

I prefer the Goku Black Saga over this because of the mystery aspect with Black/Zamasu. I think the ToP story is bogged down by what you've said (total Universe 7 focus) and just plain filler. It has had its moments (Gohan getting back into form, Master Roshi's fighting, Number 17 kicking the crap out of people, Ultra Instinct scene) but overall I've found it somewhat lacking and Jiren making everyone outside of Goku irrelevant kind of took some steam out of it for me. Like seeing Goku get destroyed in Super Saiyan Blue kind of put the kibosh on everyone else for the rest of the series. I really wanted to see Gohan actually do something, thus far he's been fodder for filler material.

Man, I didn't really like Hit until this arc, but now I think he's great. I don't really understand his tactics in regards to fighting Jiren, but the fight itself was awesome. He's up there with Serious Lee and Bergamo for characters I'm more interested in seeing after this arc.

Damn, that was an awesome fight. Would have liked a little more explanation for what Jiren did to break out of that time freeze, other than "he's just stupidly strong", but Hit was such a beast. Big time props to him.

And maybe Cabba and Caulifa and Kale could have just knocked out Jiren while he was frozen instead of flying away?
