Paige don’t look like he belong in the NBA lol. He look like a high school kid playing pickup ball with NBA players.

I see Monk as sort of a Bradley Beal type but quicker and more disruptive on offense. Defensively he may always be a liability, but keeping Dwight backstopping to block shots helps some.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Lamb needs to start, Monk needs to come off the bench.

I think MKG is a better player than RHJ, but what you guys probably will be seeing this season is RHJ is a better player than MKG...

I felt that way for years. Given up on MKG here now. He & Cliff are like oil & water. They just don't mix well.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Would Monk ever be worse defensively than Frank? His defense will come and if he’s playing in the same lineup as D12 and MKG then I think we can manage.

For now to start the season I agree but that’s under evaluation. Monk could be worthy of being a starter alongside Batum with MKG going to the bench by the end of the season.

Clifford: Monk can't start because of defense, we'd be terrible

*proceeds to put in a starting lineup that can't score and is down by 10-12 points 6 minutes into the game anyway*

Same old story, same old song and dance! My friend

Monk needs to start, period.

For one it clearly makes the most sense.

And two he's developing some nasty habits on that 2nd unit. We need to develop him as a functional scorer not some Jamal Crawford wannabe

More exciting: that Monk looks really freaking good or that it looks like we might have FINALLY hit on a second round draft pick?

This is one of the more compelling reasons for starting him imo. I still think I prefer Lamb or Graham because I think he and Kemba are too much of a liability on defense paired together (and we need to hide Kemba to save energy and his knees), but playing with the starters would force him to focus more on his offball game and help his overall development.

I do love the Kemba/Monk fit on offense. If Monk can develop the flashes of passing skill and vision we've seen then they will be a damn near perfect offensive backcourt.

My plan is for Monk to grow 3 inches. Get to it, Cho.

Wow - tough call. I'm still finding it hard to believe we may have hit on two good draft picks. I guess I'm happier about Bacon as I expected Monk to put the ball in the hoop. Bacon's size and all around game for a rook is pretty exciting.
