Never been a fan of bledsoe as a #1 PG. I think he would be a solid 6th man. Not a leader in my opinion.

I hope we can get a top pick for next years draft.

I would target the following if we are a top 3 pick.

Porter
Bagley
Ayton

One of those and we have our future Booker, Jackson, One of those three above. Add some solid Free Agents and keep building. We have about 3-4 years till the super teams die down a bit! In 3-4 years hopefully that young core can grow together and succeed.

If Bender weren't hitting his shots....would easily be the worst player on the court

We held out our 2 best scorers, we've lured them in for opening night.

I'd put Bledsoe ahead of Warren right now, but yeah your point stands. We're a much better offensive team than we are tonight with Booker and Warren out there obviously.

Just checking in to tonight's game. I loathe those white uniforms. I really, really, really don't like them.

Chriss' 3 point shot is off (only 1-7 from deep), but has otherwise had a good game.

Overall 5-11 FG, 11 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 turnover, 3 fouls

Bender has had a really good stretch here in the second half.

Weird because other Suns players and coaches were saying how much he improved since last year.

JJ looking pretty darn good. Superstar potential for sure.

Chriss looking solid. No major mistakes this game. Turnovers and fouls were minimal.

Bender showing flashes too, but still lots of room to improve.

This will be the season. Some solid games, some horrible games from our youngsters.

Honestly don't know why we continue to start Chandler, unless we are showcasing him for a deal.

My main concern with these losses are that our young guys are already looking disengaged and demotivated. The vets that we have, as well as the coaching staff, don't appear to be the kinds of personalities to light a fire under these guys and send them into war with a chip on their shoulder. The new blood (Jackson, James, Daniels are this years examples) seem to bring it for a while, but it inevitably wears off the longer they spend in this culture.

Fun 4th quarter, surprised to see we put up 43 points but we did get up and down against their bench.

JJ had solid all around game with 22/7/2/2/1 and 3 TOs on 9/19 FG and 4/5 FT. 3 wasn't falling, but no surprise he regressed a little considering how well he was shooting the other games. His handle is definitely better than I remember at Kansas, he's going to be a dangerous slasher if he keeps refining it. He had a couple nice passes tonight that ended in missed shots/layups or bobbled hands, and it was nice to see him cut his turnovers down to 3 this time around. Really like what he's shown us this preseason.

Quese had an decent game going for 13/12/2 on 6/12 FG (5/5 from 2). 3 wasn't falling, but it's going to be about reps for him because his form looks consistent and pretty smooth. Would have had a couple blocks if the refs weren't calling a foul every time the Blazers drove. Gotta say I'm happy he outplayed Zach Collins, I was a little worried at how our very young bigs would stack up against a guy a lot of us liked and they both fared well.

Bender started slow, but once he started hitting shots and got his confidence up he started playing with a bit more energy. His screens are still basically non-existent and he needs to start playing more inside-out than just outside until he's a bit more confident with his shot. I liked how he looked to close out the game though, and he looked fine against Collins when they were matched up as well.

Overall while this game wasn't great it was much better than the last Jazz game.

Pretty happy with Jackson and Chriss tonight. Bender was up and down, but overall his statline is decent (13/7 on 50% FG).

1 more preseason game and then it's the real deal!
