We may be getting the best version of AA there is.
To me, this game he could have "gotten his" but, he ends up leading the team in Assists, and only took 6 shots while playing the most minutes.
That is a great sign
I think he's happy stretching out his career with this role.

I don't know about you guys, but I loved that Euro step that Iwundu pulled off for the score in transition on the 2 on 1 fastbreak. I knew that fastbreak would get blown up if he attempted to pass to Mack (I think?), but he didn't and made that beautiful Wade/Ginobili-style maneuver.

Reminds me of Marble so far... looks like an NBA player until he puts up a shot.

I think he brings more to the table than Marble. He can initiate offense, has handles, pushes on fast breaks and is very disruptive at the point of attack, whereas Marble was more of a wing only defender.

Iwundu's shot needs work, but it is not broken, so I think that he could pan out for us. Especially when you consider how bad our PG situation is.

AA looks like the perfect bench wing. He was probably brought in because the FO suspected that Mario sucks. Looks like that could pay off quite well.

Last year I remember just thinking that no one could buy a basket on our bench. AA instantly changes that. He has a very wet J and he knows when to take his shot. Him and Speights add some nice punch to our bench, plus they know the game so well.

He and DJ I guess played off each other well last night. (didn't get to watch)
I also like Isaacs next to a real vet. (of course reading the comments, that didn't go well last night)

Well DJ has tunnel vision. But what is cool is that Isaac has already shown he has go to spots on the floor. He has a really nice baseline J that he sets up, plus his 3 ball is looking good. So when you have a guy establishing those types of shots where the team knows where he is on the floor and what is going to happen, he will get the ball more and more.

For those who never played Pg, I can tell you that it is natural to look for certain guys since you know their spots and what will happen when they get the pass. For example I had a guy who was always hands up ready and always in the same spot on certain plays so it was automatic for me to feed him the ball. Other guys where I was not so sure what they would do, in the heat of the moment, I would look them off just because it didn't feel right. If that makes any sense.

DJ is not a great PG, but even he will pass more to Isaac once he gets used to his spots on the floor. Then when we upgrade at PG, it will be an even more dramatic difference.

I still think long term that Elf should be our reserve PG. He would be an absolute killer in that role.

Simmons gives 100% out there and I love that. Could be a glue guy, along with AA

I am a bit higher on Iwundu than I was. His handle still doesn't look very good to me but he seems like he has good awareness. Rebounds really well and seems like an okay passer. Just tough when his jumper is that terrible. But I've been much more impressed than in Summer League that's for sure.

The Magic did not play an normal rotation and was competitive on the road. Not really sure there is anything to "take" from this loss.

Simmons reminds me a bit of Mickael Pitreus.... solid defense, instant offense off the bench.

Underrated FA signing this off season.

Interesting comparison. He does seem to play alot like Peaches. Prob looks a lil more polished than MP.

Agree, not a fan so far, I sort of cringe when he is running pick and roll.

He seems to stay with his man on defense while still getting scored on. His defense reminds me of a cornerback in Football that's always glued to the receiver but the receiver still seems to make the catch.....everytime.

He contests jumpers and doesn't get blown by.....but....to qoute Bill Simmons "are we sure that he's good?"

Yup. Nik is such a good passing big you can run offense though him in the high post or behind the 3 or line brining his defender out because they can't leave him open...spacing.
