Bacon made the rookie ladder, not bad for a 2nd round pick.

9. Dwayne Bacon, Charlotte Hornets
The quest to go from the second round to the regular-season rotation for a team that wants a stronger bench began with 15.4 points over five games close to home in Orlando, despite shooting 41.8 percent. That was capitalizing on the injury absence of Malik Monk, the lottery pick who would have gotten a lot of Bacon’s shots, and everyone’s minutes in the backcourt.

We should never have expectations. We just support them and hope for the best.

Bacon is LEGIT

Sophomores are the next freshman in future drafts. Bacon showed up despite being a 2nd rounder and not a first option. His body size and measurements lead me to believe he can be a good pro. If he a middle class citizen version of Joe Johnson he can stick for 10 years.

I think he's already hit more 3's than PJ Hairston did.

Just got to get him to knock off the long 2's.

I'm liking this guy quite a bit. If he can be a consistent 3-point threat like he was in the preseason, he'll be in the rotation.

The espn announcers kept thinking he was Marvin Williams. He does look very similar to rookie year Marvin Williams too.

3pt shooting pleasant surprise. Hope he can expand other parts over next few years - getting to FT line, shot selection, passing, defense.

Could be very solid 3-D rotation guy, with some offensive upside due to ability to score off dribble.

Hopefully it doesn't take him 11 years to become a significant player in the league

I didn't think much of Bacon at draft time, I honestly didn't know what Cho/Cliff saw in him, but the preseason has been a very pleasant surprise. It would be killer to actually turn a 2nd rounder into a valuable rotation player for once.

Bacon had 11 rebounds in 19 minutes when we beat the Hawks. He's a solid SF option.

Oscar Mayer needs to proofread for spelling - Wake Up and “Small” the Bacon device.
