Yep, I forgot houston. The others are highly debatable (how would Bradley Beal, cj mccollum and Gordon hayward have looked as the Knicks go to guy?)

Also yes, that's why I said he's either 2a or 2b (the third option). Outside of 2 teams he's as good as it gets in that role, particularly as a third option! It's not just off the top off your head. That's the whole list, and almost all of those are debatable at best. Houston, again, I'll give you, although he is much better than whoever you consider their 3rd option to be. I suppose you could add toronto , if you wanted to say Lowry is a better offensive player, but again that's very debatable.

I think we have to start under the assumption that Carmelo is our 3rd option (it's not fair to PG13 seriously :)). Then we can only mention very few teams that have better 3rd options (Golden State and maybe Cleveland basically)

Yea, very excited to have him in that role.

We have three more days to use Christon's unguaranteed deal in a trade before it becomes guaranteed.

If anything he'll be cut. Who would give us asset(s) for Semaj? We can't take salary so it's not really possible to use him as a salary dump tool in a trade.

Christon's contract could be used to save some money. Trade for him and cut him right afterwards.

Some data at Nylon Calculus showed that smallball lineups lost by a bit to traditional ones in playoffs on average. So Presti's apparent move to smallball may be going against analysis grain, but following the herd. Small samples, specific lineups matter, yada, yada. Playing big wasn't a can't do, can't win in general. Kanter and Kanter big man duos just were less effective than average.

Royce saying Canaan and Christon both likely waives tomorrow. Waiting for a C in the buyout market?

Thunder should look for someone to S&T David Lee to us and use Christon and Grant plus conditional picks, second rounders and stuff.

Why would the Spurs do that?

We can't do a sign and trade anyway

Donovan said he won't limit things rotation to 9 guys. I'd be excited about what that means for Josh, but Singler is still here.

From Brett Dawson
And Donovan is likely to give some minutes to Kyle Singler, given his philosophy of keeping every player on the bench engaged with at least periodic playing time.

That seems more like pure speculation than sourced though. Or maybe I'm just hoping. It seems odd Singler would be glued to things bench in preseason then be back in the rotation.

Wish we could get Bronson Koenig in the organization either on a two way or with the blue. The kid can shoot, can't ever have enough of that

What is going on with Quinn Cook? Seems to be a talented scorer. Why does no one want him???

Watching the Denver game

We shouldn't struggle this much with Russ out. Maybe playing pg and Melo together is the answer because Russ is gonna lead an adequate offense no matter what.

Love how physical this team is playing, but you only get so many fouls.

George, Adams, robes, and Russ look like they'll run through anyone in their way. Melo looks like a fish exaggerating contact.

Russ is terrible at getting over screens.

Melo is Kanter like in his Ability to avoid contact on defense.

Adams looks like he has some touch from 5-15 feet.
