Gonna be annoyed if we lose to Quintana at any point in this series.

He was my target since last winter.

Now I have to watch him get a hit against my ace.

Just starting to feel like they're close to figuring Kershaw out... Hope he can get a few more innings, but he's not as intimidating as he usually is.

I thought he bested Bryant the 2nd time around.

I think Rizzo might have his number.

Pitch count coming down each inning too.

His ab against quintana seemed to get Quintana a little shook... Lots of pitches, and Q looked a little gassed. Hope he did some damage there.

Have no idea what they were trying to do with Contreras there.

That was terrible.

Peyton gonna Peyton just like every October.

Never EVER station to station either.

Homerun ball after homerun ball.

Kershaw Gives Up 2-Run Homer

Post#550 » by Ranma » Sun Oct 15, 2017 1:16 am

I know the ball is juiced but Kershaw has been struggling with nibbling on the edges of the strike zone tonight despite even getting the benefit of a couple of calls by the umpire. He hasn't been fooling the batters outside of a couple of curve balls.

Barnes has also been stopping quite a lot of pitches in the dirt. Maybe with the confidence in Austin to not let balls get by him, Clayton is more adventurous with his breaking stuff, but there's no excuse for his lack of command in this game.

I know Quintana has been sharp but our boys seem to be zeroing in on him, like Kilroy said. We have to and should bust this game wide open with our bats.

Peyton gonna Peyton.

We deserve a playoff ace that will nutup, not get nervous, have his pitches, and not give up the HR ball.

Done making excuses for this guy.

Done hoping he can put it all together for one postseason.

Bring my city a ring or gtfo.

I don't think we can afford to have Kershaw face Rizzo right now... Especially not 4th... If he gets up.

Our biggest problem right now may be that Turner isn't looking too sharp at bat right now...

If the offense can get our lineup to Kersh, I fully expect a pinch hitter. but knowing Dave, if our lineup makes the third out before Kersh, I hope he cans Clayton after Anthony Rizzo and go with Maeda against the following 3 straight right handed hitters.
ehhhhh f it.
