Okay.
I’m not saying that was bad
Just showing that all fan bases overvalue their own prospects and picks

They do, I just can't believe that, specifically. If it did happen, then they were obviously trolling.

I can't believe that dumb without proof.

When they got the top pick and it looked like they were taking Fultz you couldn’t tell them anything about Fultz. They all mainly said he was the best prospect. Now they are trashing them lol. They are a strange bunch.

Still, it’s worth noting that since 2003, the only number one overall NBA draft picks who were healthy enough to play who did not open their rookie seasons as starters were Anthony Bennett and Andrea Bargnani. That is not a group you want to be a part of, at all.
Different situation. No correlation
Full disclosure is that I am Celtics fan. Not trolling. Just inquisitive.
From a talent perspective perhaps, I agree with this post. However, I am perplexed and wonder if anyone can help me understand what Philly is doing...
Fultz has admitted his shoulder soreness is impacting his shot and shot mechanics. What I don't understand is why he isn't shut down until his shoulder is healed - whether it just requires rest or some type of procedure. The longer he shoots with screwed up mechanics the harder it may be to correct. I don't see what is to be gained from playing the #1 overall pick with a bum shoulder. Thoughts?

I'm still a huge Fultz fan and I'll be watching you guys whenever I get a chance this year.
This move seems like a big coaching mistake from the outside looking in. It would be one thing if Fultz had a good vet to earn his stripes behind but I saw enough of Bayless in his Celtic stint to know he's pretty bad. I think asking Simmons to run point from day 1 is a mistake too.
Makes a lot more sense to me to start Fultz next to Redick and make him the half-court PNR initiator, with Simmons running fast breaks and doing Draymond Green stuff as a short roll man in the halfcourt.
Just my two cents - hoping Fultz takes the starting gig soon so I can enjoy watching you guys.

To be honest this makes little sense. Why is it a mistake to ask Simmons to run point from day 1 and not a mistake to ask Fultz to run point from day 1? They are both rookies.
Simmons is well in advance of Fultz at this point both on what plays the team runs (He has literally had 12 months of being taught the playbook) and health and talent wise.

Because Fultz has a much better PNR game unless he has completely forgotten how to shoot.
Simmons has no 3 or mid-range - everything has to be downhill and it makes him much easier to guard when he has to start out 25+ feet from the hoop against a set D.
Not that he can't do it, it's just not the best use of his size and skillset.

In addition every fan base overvalue their prospects/assets
I remember Sixers fans coming onto the Celtics forum saying OK4 was worth 2 BRK picks just a year ago.
Value of assets can change quick.
