Kenta's Finances

Post#786 » by Ranma » Mon Oct 16, 2017 1:37 am

Neddy wrote:issue with him is, even though I have no clue if he cares of not, is that being paid by his base salary without incentives that comes with being a starter, he is subjected to heavy taxation by Japanese government along with US taxes he must pay. his 3 million salary quickly becomes less than a million after his agents are paid off after the taxes between the two countries. at that rate, he would be better off going back home and pitch for the piss poor Hiroshima ball club.

I didn't realize that. Thanks for enlightening me, Neddy. That kind of sucks for Kenta, but the Dodgers have to do what's best for the team. At the same time, I'm sure there are plenty of other MLB teams desperate for starting pitching who would love to have his talents along with his contract, so he doesn't have to go back to Japan if things don't work out to his preference here in Los Angeles.

that's why I still think he makes a better trade asset than a setup man for us.... but we have got to win this game regardless of tomorrow....

I’d rather see Morrow get the 8th to hand it off to Kenley but I understand the idea of letting your best face the best in their lineup.

It's going to be a long night if we can't put some pressure on Edwards.

I still think that was the spot for Andre. it was given that Granderson will play defense, and Utley's at bat was going to be a single at bat and be out of game afterwards. Andre was put on this roster for that exact scenario.
ehhhhh f it.

Not sure why they pulled Edwards, but I'm glad they did... Good AB for Taylor.

Surprised we havent been able to touch their pen.

Winning a game like this is what October is about.

Let’s hope our pen doesn’t blink first.
