What exactly are you referring to here?

*protestor standing up for black values

what black protester was recently killed by a white nationalist?

Charlottesville, but again I corrected myself, it wasn't a black protestor.

You don't have to respect anyone's opinions. That is insane.

not interested in getting into a flame war with you (mainly because you don't seem to understand much of anything, really), but take what you said and sub out "Trump" with "Hitler" or "idi amin" and you'll see how wrong you are.

if someone's opinion is completely wrong or abhorrent, there is no logical reason to respect it, let them broadcast it loud and clear or to hear it out.

lulz at the KKK, Nazi March.

Yes, there were some KKK and Nazi members at that march, but (a) they were not the majority and (b) that was not the primary emphasis behind the march.

This logic could also apply to the Black Lives Matters protest, which contains elements that call for the murder of police and neo-Marxist policies that are based in Marxist theory, which by the way killed far more people than the Nazis did.

At the same time, unlike yourself OakleyDokely, I'm not ignorant enough to suggest that all BLM protesters are cop-killers or communists!

Just accept the fact that you are a **** piece of **** nazi lover. Stop trying to seem respectable in this thread, while you post your nazi **** elsewhere. You are a giant stain on society.

I'm sure JV17 will be along shortly to explain how we need to respect your opinion though.

I was wrong to make a general statement about respecting everyone's opinions.

Not trying to start a war, I just want to understand. Why the guy who said he'd boycott the raptors if they refused to go to the white house, why that is a bad/wrong opinion. (Not my opinion).

There's no point in spending 7 pages worth of posts "debating" anything with fools like this. They're ignorant, uneducated idiots who are never going to fit properly into society. Donald Trump is a hero to these twits and no amount of reason is ever going to get them to see how ignorant they are. Let them go on about their race sht, how the media tells lies, or whatever idiotic conspiracy theory they're going on about today. They're an shining example of what happens when the education system fails children.

I'm not one to speak for anyone else, but I'll go ahead and assume it's because the implication is that he supports Trump, which is a dumb and bad opinion to have and that does not deserve anyone's respect.

i get what you're saying. it didn't come across as that, just FYI.

you have posters like me and Fairview who are more than happy to call out racist, sexist or homophobic POS. and we do so aggressively.

i am 100% for free speech. but i'm also 100% against hate speech. that **** will not be tolerated in my circles, whether it's on a teeheehee message board like this, or in real life. and there's a very strong correlation between strength of supporting Donald Trump and intolerance of other religions, skin colours, etc.

Trump is relevant in every aspect of society given he's attacked just about everyone, including Replublicans, except for Nazis and Russians.

I really question how relevant Trump is to discussions concerning Toronto Raptors basketball. It's not like arguing about Trump on our board is doing anything other than politicizing a space intended to be used as respite from the day-to-day grind. It's your prerogative though, so do as you wish. I'm just offering up my opinion.

Even if it's a different league he went after NFL athletes who knelt during the anthem calling them sons of a bitches. Like the NBA a lot of NFL athletes are black and share similar views towards the police brutality of black men in this country. Trump completely politicized a major social issue and forced it to be relevant by spitting in their faces on what they want to stand up for. And it's relevant for the Raptors in a tangible way since they're avoiding staying at his overpriced hotels.
