Ah well. I don't care for the 76ers. Whatever.

The Sixers had no choice in the matter here. NONE. There's definitely a team out there that is desperate enough to throw the max at Embiid (Nets, Hawks?). It's actually a better deal for Philly than I expected. Embiid is a generational talent, no question about it. Gotta take that gamble.

I want them to do well since they're my local market team and their fans are cool too. He is so dominant out there. A lot of teams in the east I like now.

And Domas was the leading scorer among sophs in preseason last check.

Yeah he's looking pretty good. I'm really happy for him. He's rebounding really well too playing closer to the basket. Averaged 8.3 rpg in 20 minutes in the preseason. I think this trade will end up being good for both teams. Even if Domas/Dipo end up being just okay players, it will probably still be a good trade for Indiana since they got 2 pieces on 4 year deals for 1 year of George (who wasn't going to re-sign with the Pacers anyway).

I hate Embiid for making me love him.

It says a lot about what a piece of trash Whiteside is that he went straight to the injury thing for his comeback. It's a low blow. Just gives me another reason to root for Joel.

Joel may legit be my favorite non-Thunder player in the NBA at this point. He uses social media better than any athlete I've ever seen. The dude is hilarious.

I agree. A guy at work who only loosely follows the NBA (like Sportscenter highlights, not watching actual games) didn't get it. Thought the deal was so dumb because of the injuries and it was a sign of how bad the NBA management was or something. Tried to tell him how good Embiid was but I don't think I was getting through to him. Give this kid good health and you're looking at at top 5-10 player in the league in a couple years. Firmly believe that.

My God the Spurs have had a terrible offseason.

I know it’s cliche but Father Time is undefeated. The spurs continue to role the dice but it’s not going to last.

This might sound very hot takey because they might just win 65 with this squad this season, but at some point, they're gonna have to hit the reset button with that roster. Instead of surrounding Leonard with good players, they surround him with a bunch of fossils, a already average guy coming off an Achilles injury, overpaid guys and a bunch of nobodys off the bench. Yes, Pop could probably turn Christon into an NBA level player, but at some point, he's gonna run out of luck with these kind of guys.

And yes, I say this knowing they played really well last season. :P

EDIT: And regarding this Aldridge thing - what were they thinking? With so many teams being in the tax, nobody is gonna offer him 73/3 in the summer of 2018 or 2019. George Hill had a way better year than Aldridge and was looking to get paid, yet he only got 57/3 which was probably still an overpay to sign with a terrible team.
The cap is not rising as quickly as expected and they've commited 147 million/50 a year to Gasol, Aldridge and Mills over the next 3 seasons. That's close to half their salary cap! :o

The spurs have been one of the most consistent teams since they joined the league. They're going to have to retool in the near future, but they'll manage. They'll be bad for a year or two and then they'll be chugging right along in the playoffs again. Having an mvp caliber player and the greatest coach of all time is a great place to start.

People on the GB acting like their Gordon Hayward's family or some ****. Yeah, it sucks, but I'd say 'karma is a bitch', of course if that was true cupcake would've been the one lying there.

It can turn for us just that quickly. Man that’s horrific. You could hear it break.
