I don't want Presti to wait till the trade deadline just to fix a glaring issue. Give Dakari a couple of weeks and then deal with it.

I just don’t think we have the assets to get Nogueira guys. Unless we just feel like giving up our 2022 FRP. I think this is a no brainer deal from our standpoint so you have to think Raptors would rather ride out Nogueiras contract. Hell they might resign him. Nogueira/Poeltl is not a bad front court. They just have to move JV.

TBH knowing one of Russ/Melo/PG will likely be on court at all times helps too. Games might even be more fun and less stress than last year, and there's zero chance of losing Russ. I can just enjoy games.

I didn't watch a ton last year but remember him, so he was fairly good if I remember the name. Was actually looking at him if they bought into the 2nd round.

He’s not even 21 yet so he has room to grow.

Dozier acquisition is interesting. To me that's the exact sort of prospect you should use a 2 way contract on given the age and relative upside. So bravo to Presti on that one.

Watching Dozier highlights he looked very good. Used glass well. Relaxed. Candidate for my favorite player before he is on team. Watching his weakness reel, he had a number of very bad misses & turnovers. Still, I like him.

Looks like he can finish through contact. That's been one of the most frustrating things for me to watch the last couple years, it seems like we haven't had anybody but Russ capable of taking a bump and adjusting mid shot. Adams is especially frustrating, it seems like he's missing if he gets breathed on.

A superb athlete who projects as a high-level defender, though his shooting may limit him severely on offense.
BEST-CASE SCENARIO: Shaun Livingston, Dejounte Murray

PLUSES

Tremendous athlete with high defensive upside; explosive in the open floor, with long arms and excellent lateral quickness.
Multipositional defender: could effectively switch onto guards, wings, and leaner forwards.
Can create space off the dribble; he changes directions quickly and gets to the rim.
Solid playmaker who can take on secondary pick-and-roll duties. Tightened his handle as a sophomore, but still needs work.
MINUSES

Poor shooter who needs to overhaul his mechanics. Flings the ball at the rim. Also subpar from the free throw line.
Average feel for the game; his success will largely depend on his athleticism.
Has high defensive potential, but needs to improve his fundamentals to avoid committing careless fouls like reach-ins.
