I'm gonna give your question a go but the numbers are based on my best guess as to those in position the catch the big hr.
In The Stadium; about 3000 fans could possibly be in position to catch the ball. being near a bonds hotspot could better your chances to 2000 to 1.A good ticket in the hot zone might cost you $1000. If you could get any ticket for for $100-200. and hang out somewhere between left center and the right field foul line... $100 for a 2000 to one 1 shot to get a possible $500K seems much better odds than the lottery.'8)
In the Water; My guess that if Barry were to pop one at SF, it would have about a three in ten chance of somehow landing in the water. With say 200 small boats in position of the splashdown, those in the water would have much less comparable compition to actually end up with the ball. Not sure if you could rent a ride, probably have to bring your own or rent from elsewhere. No doubt the water is your cheapest way with the least compition, has got to be a blast, even though the historic ball might not get there.
With $500,000.00 on the line, no doubt, if you are anywhere near where it could land. You may be in position, with decent odds, to change your life. At the very least, you would be there, be a part of Baseball History. Go BARRY!!
