I think that Chandler is not gonna play more than 20 mpg, so Len will play the majority of the minutes at C (if healthy).

You can argue against Booker/Kaminsky but we are a terrible defensive team. We deserve the lack of respect on that end of the court

BTW. I like that starting line-up. Its smallish, but has a nice balance of offense and defense. Chriss and Bender need a bit of a fire lit under them anyway. Jackson needs to start, Warren has earned a starting role. Chriss has not.

I'm so sick of Watson's favoritism. There is absolutely ZERO, and I mean ZERO reasoning for starting Chandler over Len. So Len, is going to be flailing yet again, in mediocrity, or worse, all due to Watson's 'buddy-buddy' relationship with Chandler.

I hope Len requests a trade by mid-season, and is granted one, where we get, like, a 2021 2nd Rd pick, and he BLOWS UP, to the tune of like 15/12/2 Blks in 30MPG, because some other team's starting C got injured or something. Watson's an idiot if he starts Chandler over Len...unless, of course, he's trying to lose. I hope every media outlet makes a big deal out of it, wonders why the heck Watson started a decrepit, 35YO Chandler, who last year avg'd a whopping .5 Blks per 28 MPG.

I don't care that Len has 'hands of stone'; we need some friggin' defense in the paint, and we aren't going to start Len next to Warren? I love Warren, but Warren and Chandler has our 'Bigs'? I actually thought we might have a chance to dig out from under the cellar this season, but nope, not if Watson's plan is to start Chandler over Len. What else does Len have to do then what he did in pre-season?

Other than that, I like the JJ/Warren starting at the 3/4, but again, unless Watson wakes the F up, we're going to get destroyed.

They are saying that Him and Pop had a sit down and came to an understanding.

But there are whispers that they re-signed him to get more value from him as trade bait and they are going to work on padding his stats a bit and trying to help raise his value. I guess it all depends on what team thinks he's still worth that amount.

I think the fact that they are only guaranteeing him $7M the final season point to it being trade bait. Makes him a bit easier to move, as i dont think that ive seen the Spurs really give out a deal where they are willing to only guarantee 1/3rd the contract in the final year. Usually they lock them up and keep giving them fully guaranteed 1 or 2 year deals, but not in Aldridges case.
